Anyone else hate shopping sometimes?

BTW, I can go to the Mall of America and not buy a thing except lunch.

Last time I was there I saw two gals that each had a foldable travel shopping cart they had brought with them loaded with bags from every expensive dept store at the Mall!

LOL

herc.

I am always amazed by the loads of shopping bags people carry around there. I am just like you, except I usually manager to find something to spend money on at TDS LOL. The only time I've ever carried a large pile of bags out of that mall was from the Dept. 56 store, don't think I've ever bought clothes out there.

Shopping for clothes totally depresses me :P But I do love to shop for accessories - love purses and shoes :)Love to shop for shoes.

I REALLY love shopping for other people... especially my DD and other children in the family ::yes::

count me in for the "hate it with a passion" club! Especially if it's clothes for me! I can't shop on-line because I'm to tall for regular sizes and to short for specialty stores so I need to try EVERYTHING on. If I find the pants, I can't find a shirt to match! Plus the fact that I carried triplets 5 yrs ago and never lost the weight isn't exactly helping either. That said, the #1 reason I absolutely hate shopping is because DH thinks it's hysterically funny to convince the kids they absolutely have to go with mama and now I have them running all over while I'm trying to try on clothes! Can't trap them all in the dressing rm either, DS is to old to be in there now.

I'll have to admit that despite being very manly, I spent my lunch at Galyans, Marshall Fields, and GAP (kids and adult). I also made a quick swing through the Disney Store.

Sometimes I HAVE to get away from my desk and I really enjoy plowing through the clearance racks over the lunch hour!

Well Manchurian - looks like I should have sent you shopping for a dress for me! ;) lol!

I wish I was closer to stores like that. I would love to just browse at lunch. Target and Home Depot are my only options at lunch.

omg

if there was a Target near my job, I'd NEVER get any work done.

Target is like church to me - I go once a week.

I'd be so poor...I don't know why I love that place.

You must work near me, sounds like the Ridgedale area???

LOL Stinkerbelle! As sad as it is, I go to Target more often than I go to church.

We are saving for our new house though so I only make Target trips when absolutely necessary.

Target is a wonderful place!

Erika - I did the same thing - "wonder where he went?" sounds like Ridgedale! lol

I enjoy shopping - esp. bargain hunting but have begun to HATE to shop for myself. Where are all the clothes for the "not teenagers" but "not yet ready for the home" women? I'm 46 and slim.

Last week I took a long lunch and went to the mall. I bet 6 sales people totally passed me by at Express without saying a word - I was totally invisible! I had to go get someone to let me in the dressing room, even though sales people were everywhere. All the clothes everywhere seemed so "young." Then I went to Talbot's and the crowd in there looked like great-grandmothers. Then I went to Easy Spirit (I have wide feet) and all the sandals had velcro! All I bought were a couple of candles that were on sale at White Barn. I was just miserable!

LOL, I'd be much richer if I only went to Target once a week. It's doubly bad in my case, as the closest Target is SuperTarget, so I buy all my groceries there as well!!!

Ridgedale is correct! With a quick side trip to Galyans!

I wouldn't trust myself to pick out a dress, but I can tell you there's a really nice pair pair blue Claiborne dress pants, 32x32 for about $20 at Marshall Fields that I passed on!

I've always enjoy shopping for my boys but not really for me. I hate trying things on!!:p

Oooooooooh, those might fit my dh and I have a friend who works at Marshall Fields LOL, maybe it's time for a shopping trip!!!

I didn't realize you were in my part of the cities, I work right across from the strip mall that Galyans is in.

I hate shopping for clothes. I look at something and pray it fits. I hate trying clothes on in the stores.

I do like to ppl watch tho :D I could sit for hours and watch people pass by.

I love shopping....its a hobby! And a dangerous one at that! ;)

Although I avoid the malls between THanksgiving and Christmas and I NEVER shop black friday! My eyes just glaze over and I shut down if the mall is too crowded!

Speaking of shopping, I've heard that Gabriel Brothers has LL Bean swimsuits on sale for dirt cheap! I'm going tomorrow to check it out!

I never hate shopping, atleast I can't think of too many bad shopping times!:sunny:

My family will all say I am NOT a good shopper. I do not go to browse for the day. I need something, go in, get it, leave. I HATE to shop for clothes-can never find anything that fits. The few times that I do, I buy one in each color so I'm all set for months!

I also seem to have the knack of drawing folks to me. Whatever I'm looking at, someone needs to look at/touch the item. What's with that, anyway? I usually just walk off and mutter something about obviously they need it worse than I do or 'their mother obviously didn't teach them any manners'. And then, 9 times out of 10, they don't buy it!

I used to love it but as I am getting older I don't like it nearly as much as I used to. I used to love shopping the day after Thanksgiving, now I can't stand getting in the crowds. If I am looking for something specific I hate it as well because I can never find what I am looking for. :(
