Anyone else hate shopping sometimes?

OK - Promise me you won't take away my membership card as a woman, but I decided yesterday that I really don't like shopping for clothes!!

I need to find something to wear to a wedding and class reunion and I had the hardest time, I couldn't find a thing. Well actually, I did find 2 new ties for DH


Please tell me there are other women out there who have a hard time with this occassionally?

I hate shopping. Always have. I'm not the type to ooh and aahh over stuff (unless I'm in TDS).

I hate clothes shopping. No, I loathe clothes shopping...

No wait, I DETEST clothes shopping...

I do however, like shopping for fun stuff, like books, and trinkets.

Love to shop! But only when I am not really looking for anything in particular...when I 'need' something for an occasion, I hate it too as I can never, ever seem to find a thing!

My DD and I just 'did' 5 days in New York City and shopped until we dropped. Now THAT was fun!

Clothes shopping can be a nightmare for me if I am looking for pants, jeans or shorts. Anything else, I am okay. Really the worst is shorts for some reason. I guess the fact that I have a bigger booty, but the rest of me is pretty petite, is the cause of my problems. It stinks. And everyone thinks I am nuts when I complain. Well try lugging this butt around and tell me then!

I'm the same way. I HATE to shop.....especially for clothes. I like wearing them, just don't like shopping for them.

Im another one, who doesnt like shopping. I usually go when I "need" something and then Im under pressure and hate everything. My DM is a shopaholic, but I didnt get that from her, LOL!

same way with me...when I'm not looking for something in particular - no problem! Otherwise...forget it, I'm screwed.

This is me as well!!!!!!!!!! Love to shop and browse around, but heaven help me if I need a pair of jeans or a special occasion outfit!!!

I hate it! I'm "frugal" so even when I finally find something I might want to try on, I look at the price tag and talk myself out of it. I also get disgusted when I see something cute on a mannequin and then go find it in my size... Scary!! Then I go by the larger size store and see stuff in their window I like but I'm a size too small for their stuff.
Plus, I can't put together an outfit to save my life. It has to be put toghether on the rack for me.
I hate shopping.

Me too. I find women who actually LIKE to go clothes shopping a bit wierd.

But then..they probably think I'm wierd because I don't like to go shopping.

Forget about shopping, what a pain! I've been doing some online shopping, and I like that better.

Oh, I did get "lucky" and find a really nice pantsuit at Marshall Fields this spring and that is going to be my "uniform" for special occasion.

Last time I was there I saw two gals that each had a foldable travel shopping cart they had brought with them loaded with bags from every expensive dept store at the Mall!

I looooove shopping. I'm even the online shopping queen. I admit that it can be hard for me to find things because I wear petite sizes and most pants come in regular lengths, so I get upset if I can't find anything. I also put on 7 lbs lately, so I have to go up one size, which isn't pleasant. When I was 30 lbs heavier, I didn't like shopping because all the clothes seemed so little and wouldn't fit me anyway. But since I lost weight, it doesn't seem as bad anymore. My DH makes fun of me saying that I can go shopping at malls all day and not be tired. My dream is to go to the Mall of America and shop til I drop!

Isn't this how it always is? I could shop for DH and DD no problems. Shopping for myself is a totally different story and I normally love shopping.
Last week I was on a quest for jeans. 6 stores and 30 pairs of jeans later I found a pair that I could live with.

I find that I do better if I shop with another female. Is anyone else that way too?
