Anyone Else Hate Football

I find it slllloooowwww and booorrrrrriiiiinnnnnngggggggg. I also find the hype to be stupid, and annoying.

All right Louisiana girl lol! I hope you at least got excited for the Sugar Bowl and all the Saints games. I never watched a game really until this yr. I watched all of the games, which even surprised DH. I even planned a cpl of parties around it and one time he went to Hooters with the guys and I stayed at home with the kiddies and watched it all by myself. My DS4 was running around screaming GO DEUCE with me !!!!

I despise football. I find it childish (grown men pig-piling on top of each other), dangerous (each time I see a play I think about what tendon or ligament is getting ripped) and juvenile (the slaps on the butt, the marching across the end zone with fingers pointing skyward). BUT my family loves it, so I will host a Superbowl party this weekend because I love parties and love my family. I'm sure I will be here on the DIS for much of the game, however, lol.

Oh, how I hate football...let me count the ways. I'm a girl. (I'm a girl, I'm a girl, but my mom doesn't get it, I'm a girl...nevermind.)

I'm not offended by football, don't get all worked up about it being "barbaric" or anything. I just loathe it.

This year, for personal reasons, I'm pulling for the Bears...but I still hate football!

I too Hate football! My Dh and the rest of my darn family LOVE the game , however I cannot stand it. Dont get me wrong, I love baseball, and some basketball, but when it comes to football, I'd rather be at DISNEY!! LOL

I hate it, too. What all the hype is about the stuporbowl, I'll never understand.

I can tolerate the occasional live game of ice hockey, but other than that, I despise sports and think they are nothing but a huge waste of time.

Fortunately, dh feels the same. I find that soooo sexy!

My family is a bunch of football fanatics. It was force-fed to me all the time I lived at home, so I totally understand it and can explain it to DH if he has a question. I just don't care to watch it, talk about it, or hear about it. My goal every year is to make it through a season without seeing any football. This year I did see some at a pizza place while waiting for my order. Darn!

Yea, I don't get the whole football thing. What's even funnier to me is how nutty the fans are. People who have no connection to football whatsoever freak out if "their" team loses and act like they contributed in some way if "their" team wins. I guess they think that because they wore an overpriced jersey on game day they are responsible for the victory. Come on...It's grown men playing sports. Whoopeeeeeee! I can throw a ball! Oooh and I can catch one. Soooooo amazing.

If you really love football so much go out and play the sport.

That's exactly my beef with baseball. I live in Red Sox country and everyone treats them like gods. I hate that. I want to be treated like a god too. jk.
