anyone else got rid of thier...................

Yes, I admit, I am a slave to fashion! I'll be glad when this low rise fad goes out the door and they bring the waist line back to something more sensible.
I'm glad you had a good shopping spree. :goodvibes

Well sorry, but no thanks. Three kids and a bazillion stretch marks later there is NO CHANCE I'm wearing low anything.

I'm in the same boat here. Having children has definitely taken its toll on my stomach area. I guess I'm one of these with the old mom jeans. How can I wear a low rise jean with a sagging stomach? Its not a matter of weight....I'm considered within a normal range for my height. Without a tummy tuck I'm never going to rid myself of it. What do the rest of you do?

You sound like me.

I have had 3 huge babies and have the mommy tummy and the jeans I wear are levis 505... you can go to www.levis.com website and they will tell you a store to check them out. They are low rise but not too low. I love them. I think they are more flattering.

I am going back to get a few more pairs in different colors.

Good luck

Me too.

Actually I am very excited because I bought a new pair from old navy and a pair of cords. The cords were an 8, I was pretty geeked about that. The jeans were a 10 since they fit better. Well the 10's just keep falling down and driving me crazy so I went back to get a pair of 8's, and low and behold, I ended up with a pair of size 6! :cool1: They look good too! (no muffin top actions, low but cover all nessasry post baby tummy.) Boy do I feel like a sexy mama now. (can anyone say the dreded and now banned M*** word?

And the best part is they don't fall down any more!!!!!!

I decided it was time to get rid of all the pants I am never wearing again, can't wait for puprle heart to take them all away. :flower:

To everyone who is set on jeans that sit on or above the waist line, give these a try. They really are more comfortable and they aren't really low rise, they just have a shorter zipper so you don't have the zipper bulge when you sit down. It is amazing how much better that can make you look (and feel.)

I really like the ON pair, but I do have a few pairs from jjill and I really like them too. However they cost ALOT more then the old navy ones.

I like the low rise. NOT the ultras.
I have a small waist and bigger hips. They just seem to fit better.

I never even knew about MOM jeans until I saw an episode on What Not to Wear. I nearly died--those were MY jeans they were talking about and I'm only in my thirties!!

So I buy these new low rider jeans and they are great except now I have to buy new undies cuz my GRANNY panties show!! Where will it end?!

I just bought ultra low boot legs yesterday... they'll be worn with long shirts though, because, well, I am 41.

Actually my issue now is shirt lenghs. I don't want them too long (cover my butt, acutally my best asset at the moment!) But I don't want them too short (show too much when my hands go up.) So there is a fine line. Since I am short I have to get petie sizes in shirts too. All the shirts at ON are too long on me and just don't fit right.

So I am getting rid of a bunch of old shirts that are too long, or too baggy. (I don't want to look fat any more if I am not.) Nothing wrose then people asking if you are pregant again, when you aren't and weight less then you did before you started having kids!

I've bought all new pants recently, and I feel really good in them. My old ones certainly weren't mom jeans, but they weren't the latest style, and they were big since I've lost quite a bit of weight. Now I'm wearing a 6 Petite, and I feel so good in my fashionable pants. I even bought some boots to go with them. I haven't actually worn the boots yet, but I'm one step closer to being cool by just having them in my closet. :teeth:

Good for you! So where did you get the boots? I need a new pair and am a bit out of fashon trends! :teeth:

Oh and having them in the closet does make you a cooler mom.

I think we need to start a new I want to be a MIL* thread, but rename it so it doesn't get poofed! We need support! :goodvibes

I got my boots at Marshall's. I may be fashionable, but I'm not made of money. :teeth: I may buy nicer ones if I end up liking them. The ones I bought go up to about mid-calf. I'm actually considering getting a pair that goes to my knees, though, and a nice pair of goucho pants. That's a HUGE step for me. I probably won't do it, though. The gouchos I'm invisioning go with the perfect nursing top, and because of that, I'd have to sew them both because off-the-rack nursing clothes don't fit me. And since we're moving to Texas next week and are going to live in an apartment for a few months, I probably won't get my sewing machines set up until gouchos are a thing of the past.

Wow, that is daring....... Go for it!!!! :goodvibes

I was thinking about checking out DSW and see what they had (also not made of money) Not sure what kind yet. I guess something with a heel since some of my new jeans are a tad long. (also a six petite. ;) ) more petite, then 6. :rolleyes1

Good luck with the move.
