Anyone else go from 0..60 in merch obsession?

My husband wears Grumpy shirts mostly purchased at WDW. He has a big collection. He mostly wears them in WDW and at the gym, sometimes when we walk in the neighborhood. They do seem to hold up well.

He has a good sense of humor so we are discriminating and search for Grumpy shirts with the funniest sayings. We have fun with it.

Nope. I don't care for Disney merchandise at all. Wouldn't be where I spend my dollars unless for one ornament to commemorate a trip. But I'm not a big souvenir person in general.

I may wear the merch outside the parks quite a bit too..

I was wearing a Tinkerbell kimono/scarf thing today and my granddaughter says "grandma, do you have any non Disney clothes" I cracked up. I do but I tend to wear my Disney stuff all the time.

I buy way too much Disney apparel from Torrid. I love their shirts....just added Olaf and a Christmas minnie mouse blouse to my collection. I like them from Torrid as they have Disney shirts that are blouses and not t-shirts.

I must have at least 30 of these shirts in different characters. I wear them on a daily basis, out to dinner, at WDW, on my Disney cruises, etc. and always get compliments on them.

fun!

I'm the opposite. I have Disney sweatshirts and t-shirts from 20 years ago that are still in decent shape. I feel like their current merch isn't special or aesthetically pleasing and the quality has gone way down. I used to love finding a shirt with an obscure character that I liked or to see the different themed merch in the stores. Now it seems like they sell the same thing everywhere.

I have lots of Disney stuff and a pretty full Disney wardrobe. I don't just wear them in the parks, but it can depend on what it is. I prefer more subtle designs, like they used to selll in the 23 & Main collection. Generally I like the shirts at Marketplace Co-Op or D-Style, as they are a bit different from the other generic shirts. I find that most hold up pretty well, even today, but I have enough that I rotate quite often. I will often get compliments on some from years back, especially in the parks.

Now that my kids are teens we’ve slowed down on buying. Of course DH will say no souvenirs then go buy a new lightsaber or two. We probably have two dozen sitting in our living room collecting dust.

I use to buy a new Dooney and Burk purse each year or so, but stopped. They’re not as appealing. Same with when they had the Cherry Tree Lane dresses. I’ve got a few but stopped when they no longer appealed to me.

I’d rather save my money. Especially when each stores seems to sell the same things, lacking variety.
