Disney Park Pass: Book Your Park Visit

If you have a valid park ticket, annual pass or an upcoming Resort stay, you can use the Disney Park Pass system now to make a park reservation!

I thought- yay! I have upcoming resort stay but I don't have my ticket yay. I get to make my park reservation....

Sigh... foiled again

So does that mean you had a resort-only res, called in to add you and make Park res, and they wouldn’t let you? If so, did they say when? I agree the wording was confusing, and I’m wondering what it really meant as well!

It had a link to follow. It let me go pick my date, my park, then it told me I needed to purchase a ticket. I followed the link provided and it took me to January 2021.... so disappointing

So January 2021 was the farthest out date you could buy online?

Yeah it's been a little tricky determining what everything means.

Think of it this way - just like fastpasses, they aren't going to let you reserve a spot to enter a park unless you've got a ticket to get you INTO the park in the first place. Especially now, where they are watching capacity so closely it makes sense.

Just my opinion, but I think we will see 2020 tickets go on sale before the end of July. Last week they allowed package holders and AP's to reserve park days for 2020 and 2021. As of today, people who had tickets ONLY could reserve park days for 2020 and 2021, and new tickets could be purchased for 2021. By the end of this week or next week, they should have a pretty good idea of how many "spots" are reserved for 2020 park entrances, and that can inform how many tickets they should reasonably sell for 2020 dates. I looked at the availability calendar for park reservations, and July/August have some sold out dates within certain groups (they separated out Resort Stays, AP and Ticket-only) but after that it's wide open. Knowing that, they want to fill up those dates and so I can see them getting tickets sold sooner than later.

Yes, that is why I was surprised at the wording: If you have a valid park ticket, annual pass or an upcoming Resort stay, you can use the Disney Park Pass system now to make a park reservation! It said "or an upcoming resort stay"... it made me think that I could add a ticket :)

I agree that we should see single ticket sales in the next week or two... just taking sooooo longggggg lol
