Everytime we go to AK my husband rides Promevial Whirl (it's one of his faves).I don't like spinning so I never go on it. Finally this trip I gave in an rode it. My husband and I are Pooh size people so only us two could fit comfortable in one car. For some reason I was thrown all over my seat. I now have 3 huge bruises on my back , my arm , and my rear. I tighten the lap thing as tight as I could but I still had a horrible ride. I was too hurt from being thrown around that I didn't even notice the spinning. Has this happened to anyone else or do i just have bad luck???

When I rode PW it was myself, DH, a woman and her son(maybe 12) in a car. None of us were big people at all yet I was completely squished on the left side of the car. The ride itself was ok but I kept getting banged against the side. Later that day I noticed I had a big bruise on the side of my leg where I had been getting banged. I would like to try it again some time, but I dont know if I dare. ;)

We were able to jam...well, not really jam...four of us into a car. Plenty of cushion..

I also got bruised on that ride. Didn't stop me from doing it a second time though :p. But I wish they had let us ride alone. My son and I are big enough without shoving 2 more people in with us. I've been on that ride with less than 4 and never got a bruise.

I remember feeling pretty squished too.
But it was from my nephew sitting next to me not the seat.
The ride kept shoving him into me.
No bruises that I can remember though.
I'd give the ride a 4 out 10.
If it's a walk on I'd do it again.

If the car is full, it isn't too bad, but if it is only one or 2, I get thrown around and end up hitting my side on the little partitions (which are HARD!)

my wife road the ride by herself I beleive(I dont like such rides) and she complained about being tossed around.

I got bruised. Actually, I had a bruise on my leg that looked like a hidden mickey. It was a pretty cool souvenier!

Yes!! We did not go on it this past trip for that reason...plus I finally realized that I just can't do spinning rides without feeling a bit sick :( Having 4 people in a car helps, but it's also a little awkward if you are in the car with two other people you don't know (this happend to DH ad I on our honeymoon) because you are constantly trying your best not to crush them as you are spinning but sometimes there is nothing you can do about it.

In my trip report I wrote that it was a real "rib crackin'" ride....and I meant literally! :earseek:

Enjoyed the ride a lot but man, what a rough tumble it was!!

My youngest DD almost got thrown out of it. She has cerebral palsy and was not able to brace herself (plus, she is on the small side for a teen). We had watched people riding it for a while before she went on and thought it didn't look that bad - she can stay upright on the teacups with a little help. But, the combination of spinning and going up and down was a lot more that she could handle. My other DD (also a fairly small teen, but with long legs) also got thrown around. The girls were on with my DH. I didn't go on, since I already knew I would be sick from the spinning.

This is the one ride I hate. I love rides of all kinds- but I don't like being whipped from one end of a cart to the other- those turns feel like whiplash. My son on the other hand loves it so my husband and I take turns suffering through it- but the ride in my opinion is not the least bit comfortable and not thrilling in the least.

just thoughts :earboy2:

I remember getting bounced around some but definitely not bruised. I mostly remember all of us laughing through the whole ride. We thought it was a blast. :)

IMHO PW is just one of the horrible carnival style rides that Eisner can take credit for sticking in a WDW park and calling it a "New Attraction" I am so tired of all of those spoke and wheel type rides. PW reminds me of something that I once rode on at the LA. State Fair. I got thrown around and had a nice headache after I got off.

I got thrown around too and I felt like I was going to throw up. I couldn't wait until it was over.

I'm one of "those" people who tends to laugh when they are in pain, and let me tell ya, I was hysterical on this ride!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZSYYYYYYYYUS' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_7_8.gif' alt='No Pain No Gain' border=0></a>

At the beginning of the ride, we we laughing and spinning - then it really started to move and we were sliding and hitting the sides. At one point, I hit my head (ouch) and by the end I truly felt like I had whiplash!! I have to qualify this by telling you it was pouring rain at the time and attributed the sliding to the wet seats. Now, I guess it was the ride itself and not the rain soaked seats. Not so sure I'd try it again

We didn't go on this because it was raining the day we were there. We intended to backtrack and ride it later in the day, but by then it was time for the parade and we ended up leaving after that. I guess we shouldn't be too disappointed that we didn't get back to ride it!

I have seen similar rides at Worlds of Fun and at the Texas State Fair but didn't ride those, either. Maybe I should be glad! :)

I hated this ride. Not only did I get a huge bruise on my arm, but my husband lost our car keys and the spare (of course) was in Missouri. Luckily, they were found on the ground under the ride after a few minutes. If you dare to ride this, hold on to your keys!

I went on PW with my MIL while DH and FIL did something else with DD (then 3). After getting whipped and beaten, DH said he wasnted to go. I warned him that he would not like it, but he insisted. Guess what, he hated it!!! Too much jerking and spinning. And this from a fighter pilot!
