I was wondering if anyone else has purchased the @ par special over the phone. Did you receive some kind of confirmation or itinerary in the mail. I'd like to see exactly what the charges are, because the numbers quoted to me over the phone don't quite match up. They quoted me a price that was close to the same price I found on disney.com without any discount. I want to see what the actual costs are so I could compare it to the MYW package.

I generally get a confirmation (with a reservation number on it) when I've
made my deposit-did you not get one?

I did get a confirmation number over the phone and my deposit has gone through. I was hoping for something on paper though?

I got paper-call and ask them to email or fax you one-I've had them do both on different occasions

SlapWhitey,

Can I ask when you booked the Canadian at Par deal? It had to be booked by dec 01/04.

I booked the Can at par - at POFQ Feb 9-14 for 3 adults at it came through at $1318 US.

Also, the Can at par deal had to be booked using a VISA card.

I did book by Dec. 1. I've got 2 rooms at ASMu, 3 adults 2 kids for 5 nights and I was quoted just over $2800 after my $200 deposit.

Call and request a copy of your confirmation. I had trouble getting mine too. The first one came no problem (showing my deposit) but I called back a week later to pay it off (and make a minor change) and did not rec another one confirming full payment or the changes. I called again and they sent another one out but it did take about 3 weeks to reach me.

That sounds way too high - even for 2 rooms! Could there have been a problem with applying the code do you think? Or perhaps the CM became confused between the whole at-par (it's really not at-par) and quoted you the wrong amount. Regardless, last year when we booked I was sent the confirmation through the mail, so I would definitely ask for one.

Good luck, Tiger aka Piglet's Momma ::MickeyMo

Since you had to use a Visa card, the US to Cdn will be shown on your
card (plus their 1.5-2.5% charge for foreign exchange). You are right,
$2800 +/- sounds like alot for 2 rms ASMu-The MYW package being offered
now is $1500 US (or approx 1900Cdn-they used about a 1.27 exchg rate for their calcs.) -2adults, 1 junior and 1 child in value resort for 6 nights/7days, including basic MYW tickets.
I just ran Feb 9-14 at ASMU - 3 adults adding on the hopper option and
got $1269 US total. Same for 2 adults and 2 kids is $1375.00 -these are for preferred room locations. For 2 adults and 2 kids for POFQ I'm getting $1619.

Something is not correct with your at par quote. I'd call them again.

Call for sure.

I did the cdn @ par. I received confirmation in the mail. I priced the trip out on the disney website and then multiplied by .72. That's the amount they confirmed and charged to my credit card. I called Disney Travel last week to check to see if a MYW package would be cheaper but it wasn't even close since they can't do the @ par deal on the MYW.

We booked the cdn@par in November of 2004 and we got 1335.95 for 5 people, 2 adults and 3 children. We have a 4 night 5 days at POR. With park hoppers for 5. I really think you should check disney travel right away. I booked mine through CAA and got the CAA deal also and already got my first reservation papers and number. Then in Dec. when the balance was due I got another reservation number and papers. Just 2 weeks ago I got the luggage tags and all the proper papers from Disney and I'm all set to go for our trip. The tickets will be waiting when I get there at the resort.

yes, definately call and confirm.

On the phone, I was quoted the "real" price, and then the lower, adjusted price that we would be charged at par, to bring the C$ total to that "real"price.

We have received several confirmations in the mail.

I really really appreciate everyone who responded to this thread. I did call Disney and straightened everything out. It turns out they didn't give me the @ par discount. My package has since been dropped from $2800 US to $1950 US. That's a bit of a difference, don't you think. That's about what I had figured out on my own. No problems though dealing with the situation. Handled very professionally by operator. Thanks again to all who responded.

I booked the at par deal and leave in 28 days for Pop Century. I booked the trip on October 23. I got a reservation confirmation showing my deposit about 2 weeks after I made the reservation. I paid the full amount of the package on Nov. 9. I got my VISA bill and paid it off as well. After that I received 3 invoices from Disney showing that I still owed the full amount. I had to have the full amount paid for by Dec. 31 so on Dec. 28 I spent some frustrating time on the phone with a CM that kept repeating everything I said but not answering any of my questions. I swear she has stock in the phone company as when she wasn't repeating what I said there was dead air and I kept asking her if she was still on the line. Only after I said that I was going to hang up and try calling at a different time did she say "oh, there you are, all paid up". It was like pulling teeth to get her to send me another paper confirming the payment as she insisted it had already been sent. It came last Friday. I haven't received my luggage tags yet or the official resort papers.

Slapwhitey-I am so glad to hear that!! What a difference-now you'll have that much more to spend while you're there :D

I booked the @ Par in late November, and it took them about 3-4 weeks to send me the confirmation letter after my initial deposit. I paid it off in full, and added an extra day a month ago, but I have yet to received another confirmation letter - if I haven't received anything by Friday, then I will be following up with them.
