I just checked another one of my email accounts and I had an email that said that I will get a 25.00 Disney Gift card if i do and DVC interactive tour. Has anyone else done this? Was it worth it? How long was the tour and how long did it take to get the card?
Thanks!

I got an email that I will get $50 if I go to the mall and sit through the presentation

I read the email again and it said that it will be a 10 mins phone call. 10 mins for 25.00 not too bad. right?

I received this offer, too. I called the number, spoke to a DVC rep for about 11 minutes, then he said,"OK, I'll be getting the gift card out to you right away". No pressure at all, so totally worth it IMHO. I took the "tour" on the 9th, received the DVC informational booklets (along with 3 Disney coloring books for my girls) he said he would be sending on the 13th and the gift card on the 16th.

(And just an FYI -- the gift card is sent via FedEX and requires a signature for delivery.)

I just went ahead and called took about 10 mins. I talked to Randy and he was really nice. I really wish that I had the money to get the DVC. Sounds like a great deal when you think about it in the long run. But if anyone else gets the email, you should go ahead and call. It was fast and easy and I was not pressured at all.

I did it too. Pretty painless and the gift card came quick. As always, my trouble with DVC is the sunset on ownership. Just be ready with why you can't buy today and you will be fine. Disney is so low pressure!

Thanks for the info. I called and she put me right to randy. Glad to know the card will come soon. I wonder if I will get a coloring book. My dd is 11 so maybe not. I like coloring books.:goodvibes

As usual, no pixie dust for us... We get every email Disney puts out, except for offers like this or PINs.

Heck, even when I went to do the DVC tour a few years ago, I thought they said $50 for a GC. It was $15 !!! Wasted my whole morning between the tour and a chatty CM.

I did it on the 15th but haven't gotten the gift card yet. Did anyone email back the form that allows them to call you? Just wondered if the were persistant on the calls. I would LOVE to have DVC but just can't afford it right now and I did tell the Rep "Donna" and she still said she would send everything. I thought the price Donna quoted was alot better than before, better than the previous offers (IMHO).

I did this a few months ago (from a referral, not an e-mail) but never got the card. :(
I spoke to a rep named Megan, but I threw out all the materials they sent & can't remember her last name or a phone number. I feel bad calling the main number & asking about my card since I really have no intention of buying DVC right now.

I got that email on 6/21, called on 6/22. Hadn't received it last week and called, apparently my name was in the system but nothing mentioned it was sent out. Told they would look into it. Called today since i haven't gotten it. Was told it would be sent FEd Ex and if I don't receive it by next week to call them. My friend did hers the week after I did and she got hers quickly.

Was it Megan Moriarty? I got the email and talked to someone, who transferred me to her. I called her back a second time for more information. I got the DVC information within a week, no coloring books, still waiting on the card. I tried to get the email up so I could post it, but my aol isn't cooperating at the moment.

So, I am confused...are people getting the gc that was offered? I did get the email...just haven't had time to call yet, but if no one is actually getting the gc after they make the call maybe I won't bother. Still, $25 is $25 and it would be nice to have.

I got the email the first week of July and spoke to Julie Vivas, she was very pleasant and not pushy at all. I got my email while on the phone with her and my books about 2 days later and my gift card came via fed-ex within 7 days.

Very fast in my case to get my gift card. I have only received on follow-up call to make sure I received everything. Right now DVC is not in our budget but I am finding a way to fit it in.

I do remeber reading in the email maybe that you have to spend 10 minutes looking at the email they sent you in order to receive your gift card.
