Anyone else get a Disney survey?

I got a Disney survey by e-mail, and I went through about 15 questions (typical: age, income, vacation preferences, etc...) and then it said thanks but we are looking for people with different preferences than you (or something to that effect).

I wonder what that was all about? Has anyone received one of these and actually made it through to the end? Did you receive something? It asked about preferences regarding visiting disney and universal/California locations, Hawaii, Cruise, and Carribbean vacations.... I'm just kinda baffled. :confused3

I've received a survey after every stay at WDW. It used to come by mail, but in the last few years it has been by e-mail. I don't recall whether I have gotten through to the end of the survey when I have filled it out.

Our trip is not until the end of August...

I've received them after each trip also. Sometimes a CM at the gate of a park stops us before we go in. He or she takes our email address and then asks us a couple questions. Then a few weeks after we're home, I typically get an email survey.

Of course, I cooperate in the hopes of getting some sort of magical code. (Never happens, of course.):rotfl2:

Sounds interesting. I'd feel weird if I answered a survey and then it told me I'm not the kind of person it wanted!:rotfl: Sounds interesting...but, no, I didn't get one.

We visited HHI Resort from June 15 through June 21. Yesterday I received both a postcard survey invitation from the resort itself and a letter survey invitation from DVC. Both surveys were different, and I was able to make it through both.

The HHI survey was a standard follow-up regarding our visit. The DVC survey gave me a list of potential DVC locations to gauge whether or not I would use points there. Very interesting...

I've received the surveys from time to time (and not the ones they send after your trip-because those are quite different). A lot of times these have to do with marketing to a specific demographic. They may have been looking for someone in a particular age bracket, income bracket, someone with small children or someone with no children...many reasons why you probably didn't qualify to continue the survey. Nothing special happens when you reach the end and there are no free gifts, discounts or anything like that. Most of the surveys are pretty boring. I've taken ones that had to do with Disney's website and my use of it, then there was one about DisneyFamily.com that asked about my use of that site, another asked about our vacationing habits while visiting Disney and yet another was asking if specific types of Disney products and/or services would interest me or anyone in my family.

Yup, I received the same one but didn't make it past the first question! :rotfl: It asked if I lived in or around any of the cities listed, and I chose none of the above since the closest listed was NYC and I live about an hour and a half away. Then I got the boot! :confused3

thanks for the responses!

I made it a good 15 questions in to the survey... I passed the metro area, age, income, 1 child, frequency of trips, types of trips, and then the question that did me in was about how long ago my trips to 1) the carribbean, 2) hawaii, 3) california disney/universal parks and 4) wdw.....

oh well! pirate:

I just got that survey for the very first time & I've stayed at WDW 4 times since last September. I didn't get through very many questions before I got the "thanks, but we're looking for people with different...........etc". I thought it was very strange. :confused3
