Anyone else get a call from the MS Homecoming Team?

Just asking. Got one this evening and not sure what their objective was.

Yes, yesterday I got a call about our upcoming stay at VGF in December. It was very strange.

We got a call this evening about our upcoming stay at VGF. They left a message asking if there was anything they could help with, that sort of thing. We were going to call back and see about giving them our room requests.

Yes, we are staying at VGF too and so is Mike. I wonder if they are targeting that resort.

From what I was told this new Homecoming Team is a branch of MS and want to be sure members are aware of all the special activities WDW has to offer while we were there. She also wanted to know if we were having any issues using MDE.

As a matter of fact I did have issues. Last year on 12/9 we renewed our seasonal passes that expired on 12/12. MDE has in one location our passes expire on 12/12/13, but in another is says 12/9/13, thus making it impossible for me to make FP+ plans for our trip on 12/11 and 12/12. I told her I had called IT about it quite some time ago and they were to get back to me when resolved and they have never called back. The woman from the Homecoming Team told me they are aware of this glitch in the system and offered to make FP+ reservations for me right then. I told her I was not prepared to commit to a time this very moment, so she gave me a different toll free number that will take me straight to the MS Homecoming Team and they would set up FP+s for me when I was ready.

We also got into another issue I have with MDE for our stay at BLT over Christmas with my brother. She wanted to know if I had called MS to get it worked out yet. I told her I did not think it was an MS issue and I would never call MS to get it resolved as that is costing members for something they should not be responsible for. I told her it is a shame that the wait times now to talk to MS are long mostly because MS is dealing with so many MDE issues. She listened to me but also wanted me to be aware how wonderful MDE will be and how the systems are integrated and MS at times are the ones that have to be contacted for resolution.

I told her we would be attending the Association meeting, and she actually told me there is where I should bring up my issue with MS dealing with MDE issues. I don't think I am brave enough to open that can of worms at the meeting. LOL

I also got a call today for my upcoming January VGF stay. I thought it was nice that they called. From what I recall, they asked about magic bands and if I needed any assistance with advance planning. The cast member was very nice and the call was quite pleasant.

Ditto for me.

Received a call today pertaining to my VGF stay in January (although I have a BCV and AKV stay before that, and a SSR and OKW stay right after).
CM answered a couple of Magic Band questions I had.
 
Just wondering. Do we as members want to pay MS for making these courtesy calls? Looks like VGF is the resort they are focusing on. Will VGF members pay for this or are all members going to be impacted for this service from MS?

Are these calls to VGF owners staying on VGF points or are they calls from DVD to people staying at VGF using other points?

Is this another advance sales call to VGF prospects?

We too received a call from MS Homecoming Team yesterday for our stay at VGF in January.

Disneynutz - VGF is not one of our home resorts. We used our AKL points for the reservation.
 
I am using VWL points. She was definitely not DVD and stated several times that this team was part of MS.

We used our VGF points, check in is a couple of weeks away and we did not get a call.

Seems weird that they would have people call from MS when members are reporting telephone hold times up to 40 minutes.
