So last year we stayed the entire trip at our home resort and chose the 1QS 1SD dinig plan we felt it worked well enough with booking reservations 180 days out we ate where and when we wanted so we decided to try it again this year.

However this year we are staying the first 3 nights ant Kidani and the next 5 at the boardwalk. Now you would think this would be an issue ,but it is becoming a huge one. First because we are at 2 different places we have 2 different reservation numbers so now I can call on 7/16 to book the first 3 nights dining ,but need to wait until July 19 to book the rest. Then I find out that we have to use all snacks, quick service, and sit downs on the first reservation with in those first 3 days or we lose what is left:upsidedow.
When I called DVC I asked if there was a benefit to waiting until 9am to call DVC to book rather then calling the regular dining number at 7am. There is no benefit in fact now that it's 90 days out if you want specific places on certain dates like the royal table you might lose out waiting to call DVC.

Hello:headache: is it me or are we as DVC members getting slighted on the Dining Plans yes we get a discount ,but if you pay for you hotel during certain times you get it free. Why can't we get 100 days out to book our dining and why can't my reservations be 1 regardless of how many places I stay at.

Ok done ranting just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and how you made it through. My DH actually wants to bag the whole dining plan because of this.:scared1:

There have a been a few threads on this same topic already. It's just like you stayed for three nights, went home, returned for five nights. The DDP works the exact same way for non-DVC members who book split stays. And the 90+10 reservations work the same way as non-DVC members who book split stays. DVC members aren't getting slighted at all. Just being treated exactly the same.

If the dining plan doesn't work for you, don't do it.

As D/B said the restrictions are the same regardless of DVC or not. And no one can book 100 days out. Everyone is held to the 90 days then you can book 10 days into your vacation, but not any further than 90 days.

As to free dining it does not exist you are paying for it, with rack rates and ticket prices.
