Anyone else frustrated with Cars promo?

no takers for a trade yet hugh. I have a nip doc hudson. Looking for lightening mcqueen or the vw bug.

No more avail at my area to even buy if I wanted to.

There are actually 35 different cars. They all have different eye expressions and the Ramone comes in 3 different colors, yellow, purple and green. We were lucky enough that the first two we ever got were Lightnings and we got one clean and one dirty. I didn't even notice until my husband found both of them together.

A complete set of 35 sold on eBay for $103.xx, I was just amazed, I don't know what the appeal is but my 2 yr. old DD just LOVES them. I'm guessing because they have faces.

ooooh i did not know that! sssshhhhh nobody tell my ds (4) or he will have me running around the world looking for them. we spent most of the day yesterday ebaying for the matchbox ones. My dh said it was way too much to pay over $30.00 for a matchbox! so then the 3 of us went poking around at some local stores, looking to see if we could find any, but no luck!

We actually have 3 Lightenings and all 3 are different! The McDonalds in our area are running out of the Cars and using their usual toys. Boy was my son disappointed!!! We found most of the matchbox type Cars at Walmart. We bought them all before the movie came out. Since the movie came out, we cannot find them anywhere. The shelves everywhere are empty!

I think it is how they manage all their promotions. No telling what will be the next craze or not.

I remember vividly the days of those darn beanies. Grrrrrr.

I'm not sure we were on the first day of the promo, but both of my girls got ligtening. This was June 10th. (We had a milestone the following week--not that I make attempts to remember Happy Meal purchases ).

I think McDonald's never has the one your child really wants! We aren't collecting them, but DD would like the Sally car or Mater. We have eaten at McD's here in Texas and in Florida but no Sally! We have Lightning, 2 Flos, 2 Fillmores, but no Sally or Maters. Fortunately, my DD will be over this one pretty quickly. She's still way more into princesses and Barbie's!

I would bet that there are a ton of people out there willing to trade! We just don't happen to have any doubles but my friend is on a mommies forum and they are always trading happy meal toys! Start a thread and I am sure people will come! I would be happy to if I had them, it probably won't cost more then $1.25 to ship and probably worth it to many mommies out there!

I will also say that I sell on ebay and I am sure it won't be but a couple of weeks before I find tons and tons to sell (for a reasonable price of $.99)! McD's toys seem to show up quickly after a promo looking like new! I have a ton of Build a Bear and those were huge amung the mommies I know.

Whoa what a collectible these will be in 20 years! We were lucky to get all of them at an out of the way Mc D.'s. We have all three different colors of Ramone, but did not know about the different Lightening's. And 35 different cars? Amazing!

You can find all of the Mcdonald's ones on ebay. I ordered DS a whole set for $17.99 plus a few dollars for shipping. Considering they are $2.00 a peice or the price of a happy meal, I was very happy with my price on ebay!

They don't seem to be in high demand around here, ds had his choice of a car last time we went in. I think he picked lightning (again- it's gotta be his third or fourth). We only have a few of the cars b/c we don't go to McD too often, but maybe we should hit it again before they change toys.
We still have to see the movie, too!

We've got all the Die Cast ones, the carrying case, Mack with the car carrier trailer, and the three stores (haven't got Flo's V8 Cafe, but I don't think it's out yet). I'm just waiting for he Radiator Springs Lightning. DH was smart and started early - as soon as they started putting them on the shelf. We had almost all of them 3 weeks before the movie came out. MIL picked up Dinoco Lightning and Sarge for us at WDW last week and now we're complete. The rest were all purchased at Target and Toys R Us and eToys.com.

I'd love to find a green and purple Ramone and a Filmore (DD has one but I'd like one for me, I have a love of the old VW.)

Yes! I have found lightning McQueen, Wingo and DJ matchbox car but that's it. I have just ordered Chick and King off of Ebay b/c those are my son's two favorites.

As far as the McD's promo goes, we haven't gotten Lightning but have gotten Sally, Mater, both Ramones, and Fillmore.

We have everyone but Sally. Some doubles. We got 2 lightning mcqueens the first week. First they tried to give us some old promo in a cars box but I have 2 boys and only 1 got a car so I had to go back.
