I am becoming very frustrated with Disney's official web site!
I find it useless!
There is very little "Hard" information.
All I can get is vague generalities + it is awkward to navigate!
Example - Speciality Cruises
No Cost info-
No boat choice info-
No # of passenger info-
No location info-
No contact info-
ETC. ETC. ....Thank God for this Board!
P.S. - Has anyone tried to use the "Search Feature" 500 items but nothing you can use.......

I totally agree....This is my first trip ever and I would be completely lost without this web site. Everything I learned, I learned from here.....Disney's official website is nothing but pictures that really dont mean much.

Although I agree that this board is much more useful, I think it's impressive that an official theme park site would allow you to view information on pretty much every attraction. It's certainly not the case for Universal Studios. I like how you can bring up the map and click on all the attractions and restaurants. It would be nice if they had a site map for easier navigation.

YES!! The Disney Website is awful. I keep thinking they will improve it but I'm always disappointed.

I've used this website for all planning questions for 2 trips 3 years apart. This, and Deb Wills site are extremely informative.

Disneys site is alot of fluff, yeah, but they've got a lot of ground to cover.

the site is beautiful too look at and really gives you a shot of disney magic but when it gets down to the nitty gritty Disney have never loiked you knowing how much you are supposed to pay for things!

the WDW site is wonderfull compared to the disneyland Paris site, try using that!!

i agree that it does need more hard information but as disney Web team have been focusing their efforts on the new Disney Motion plugin and on their movies and Tv sites i dont think it will be long untill they start to make the web site more user friendly!

imho!

I find disney.com useless, becuase my firewall blocks it (can't quite tweak the seetings to let it though, so I just turn-off the firewall when I want to view it  )

Disneyworld.com, disneyland.com, etc. open properly, but as stated are good for little other than their pictures, hours, etc. all of which can be found on more superior sites, such as this one.

Disney's site really doesn't offer a lot of options. I am more than sure the reason they don't post cost for the cruises as it will scare people away where as if they get them on the phone, you may be able to talk them into something a little less expensive fi they don't like the price. IMO, when you compare the Universal site against Disney, Disney can stand to make some improvements. I have to say that if you've never ridden some of the major Universal rides, the short clips at least give you an idea of what to expect.
