I just got back from registering DD for swimming lessons. The website said that the lessons would be x amount so that's what I was prepared to pay. Oh no, there's a facility usage fee (an extra $22 every 3 months), the cost of the lessons are actually $10 more than stated on the website thanks to a new rule, and I have to pay $15 to get her an id card so she can enter the facility. All in all it ended up being double what I thought!
Granted I won't have to pay for another card as long as we don't lose this one, and the facility fee allows us to use the pool on weekends, but I'm still a bit annoyed. It just seems that every time I turn around, I'm paying more and getting less. Anyone else feel this way?

.
and we got a note that the first PTO fundraiser will come home in a week.
every time I turn around there is yet another thing "we" need (read he's dying to go shopping); last week is it was hiking boots ($60), yesterday it was a tent for DS so he's not using our good tent when he camps with the Scouts ($80) and tonight it's a bike ($450) - He says why do you always say we never have any money - ummm, because you'd spend it all
