DH and I have been off since Wed - originally we planned on travelling to relatives but had to call the trip off and stay home. Neither of us wanted to "give back" our prearranged days off from work - so we have been sleeping, eating and watching tv - with some shopping thrown in for good measure.
We have gone out for breakfast twice (one of my favorite treats but we rarely do it) - went out for steak the night before thanksgiving - we opted to pick up "to-go" thanksgiving turkey dinner plates from a local restaurant instead of even bothering to go eat at the restaurant as we orginally planned - we have kept a crazy sleep schedule - black friday shopping at Midnight then home for a few hours and lining up for 4am opening of local mall
Today I went to sleep at 10am (after coming home from breakfast out) - got up at 2pm - just in time for DH to say he was going to nap. Now I am contemplating hitting a drive thru to pick up dinner rather than cooking either the spaghetti bake or ham dinner that I had planned for this weekend.
I feel like I should be ashamed of myself but there is something very freeing about keeping a crazy schedule - doing what you want when you want and shirking all responsibility for a few days....overeating, over indulging, etc.
I can see why some cultures consider gluttony a sin...
