Anyone else fed up with Weather.com?

Anybody got a better source for local Orlando forecasts?

Someone said 2 days before the snow flurries this past week, weather.com's 3 day forecast was saying low 70's and sunny.

I can't tell you how many times I've tried to dress/pack according to them and gotten totally the opposite of what they said. I think we'd have done better with a $5 weather bird from Spencer's Gifts. :confused3

Maybe the weather down there is just plain unforecastable.

Granted that weather in Florida is wonky to say the least. Especially in the winter months. But I've been saying for years; in numerous threads, that weather.com is the absolute worst site for weather on the internet or elsewhere. I use Orlando weather from WeatherUnderground and Florida's Weather Center for my weather. I use these sites for my local weather as well as my vacation weather. WeatherUnderground is also the best site for Tropical Weather activity.

Boycott Weather.com!! They are just Mina Birds.

I also use the local television station WESH2 website for weather information ... http://www.wesh.com/weather/index.html I agree that weather.com is horrible for local weather and weather underground is the best site I use for tropical weather updates.

I use weather.com all the time and its usually right. The person who said that weather.com said low 70's and sunny is wrong because I kept checking and it said low 50's and high 40's.

I really like weather.com. I check it for local and travel weather all of the time and it is pretty spot on.

I really appreciate the info on local weather and alternative sources -- thanks everyone! I'll just keep checking them and and believing in the one that tells me what I want to hear ;)

From a "weather junkie," weather.com is absolutely laughable among weather circles. You could do better by just sticking your head out the window. Stick with Weather Undeground. :)

Thank you for the local weather tips! I've been using weather underground and accuweather, but it's always nice to have the local newscast's weather segment available!! :disrocks:

Accuweather has been pretty dependable forecasting trends. 2 weeks ago the forecast for Thanksgiving weekend in KY was highs in the 60s and sunny, my wife laughed. It has been close to 70 everyday since Thursday.

It was also spot on for the record highs in Orlando in mid October for our trip.

Those sites are great! It looks as if it will be warmer than I thought for next week so far! :thumbsup2 I don't think I have paid this much attention to the weather since my wedding day!

As far as I know, no snow fell at WDW this year. There was some light snow mixed with rain about an hour north of Orlando, but none in Orlando to the best of my knowledge. The low temp here in Orlando that day was in the mid-40's and Weather.com accurately predicted the low temps that day.
