For us on the left coast, our dream is coming true! Cruises out of LA! The only draw-back is that we don't go to Castaway Cay, but I've always wanted to do a Mexican Cruise - & now I have the Disney Cruise line to do it on! Wish I had the time to do a transition cruise - I'd love to experience the Panama Canal.

Well, we are on the east coast..and can't wait for the Disney Mex cruise..we will be sailing that way..on the repo cruise, then taking the first Mex cruise...can't wait. 21 days of cruising..should be a blast!

wow!! 21 days?? that is a dream come true!! We're excited to do the 14 day repo cruise in Aug from CA to FL!!

Well, I am so excited, I can't contain myself! I never thought we'd see the day out here in sunny CA. I'll be on the last repositioning and am excited to once again visit CC, but just being on the ship for 14 days is what really has me just so excited!

I have been an annual pass holder at Disneyland for 10 years. I live about 20 miles from DL. So naturally, I am SO excited to have the Disney Magic out here for a summer. My family and I are also taking the CA to FL cruise in August 2005. I just hope Disney will bring a permanent cruise ship out here to the west coast. Sometimes we feel ignored at Disneyland compared to the festivities at WDW.:Pinkbounc :earsgirl:

I just found out today that the Magic will be here next summer and I already have a call in to Dreams Unlimited. We're probably going on the July 30th cruise so my son & husband can celebrate their birthdays onboard. Oooh this is going to be so much fun and I can't wait!!

I am getting very excited. I am still upset with Disney that they aren't honoring the 10%, etc., but hoping that AAA will do what DU and AllSeas is doing and honoring it anyway. We were going to try another cruise line, but I think we'd miss the "Magic" of it all. Also, I know my kids will love the kids' club. On our last cruise, my DD was there for 12 hours. I felt like it was child neglect, but really I did try and get her out 4 different times and she just didn't want to go. What the heck, it was her vacation, too so I'm glad she was having such a great time. Can't wait until we get more information as to excursions, etc. Has anyone cruised there before? What would good excursions be, I wonder? Anyone looked lately at prices? For a family of 4 for cat. 11 it is now over $5700 (a thousand more than we are paying). Do you think people will pay that kind of money for an inside cabin? I have to say when we looked at other cruise lines, no one could match the cabins of DCL. It is wonderful that the kids have their own space (or should I say my DH and I have our own space). No kids above us in pullman beds! Yea.

Minniecarousel, you live in Danville? My DH's grandparents lived there before passing away. My DH grew up in Walnut Creek. It is so incredibly beautiful up there.

We're pretty darned excited... and we took the opportunity for the CA-FL Repo!

I'm from Walnut Creek, too! Born and raised. My parents are in Lafayette now.

Courtney, I'll have to find out exactly where he lived. He is now 40--anywhere close to your age?

We can't wait for next June to come around...our family of 5 is booked on the June 4th cruise.

This is great since we live way, way West......in the middle of the Pacific ocean! :hyper:

Another Northern (well technically Central) California Girl here going on the Eastbound Repo Cruise, and I can't wait!!!!! Already started making my lists.

Hi there! My first post on this board as well as our first ever cruise!! Since my family has annual passports to DL, I got a notice in the mail about the west coast cruises! Had to book. We are on the last cruise before repositioning back to FL. (Aug 13 till Aug 20th) We've been wanting to try a cruise, wanted to try DCL, but both my kids hate to fly! We went to WDW a few years ago, and they still remember the flight. So needless to say this west coast cruise is a dream come true. I booked through Disney, probably got totally enflated costs...but i'm not sure how else to go about it.

Hope to see others going at the same time as us!

Thank goodness i found the DIS boards! I've been up late every night this week just reading and reading!

We have annual passports, too. I wonder why we didn't get a mailer sent to us? Obviously, no passholder discounts, huh?

What's really odd, is that we've let our passports expire, (for about 6 mos now) but i still got that flyer! And of course, no discounts were offered to me when i made the rezzies. :(

JulienK...we are on the same cruise as you! there's a thread going on in the cruise meet forum. there's only me & starwood, so join us!

this is so exciting! i just can't wait! :wave2:

hayesktrm, I'm 27... my sis is 30 and my parents, are, well, in their 50's (they might kill me if I post their ages, hee! ). Growing up, it was a small town... it's certainly boomed!

I very excited about DCL coming to California!!!! Hopefully we will get our own ship out here on the west coast eventually and the cruise rates will drop considerably. The rates for the 7-night cruises out of LA are extrememly inflated! Living in California, we know we can cruise to Mexico anytime we want for a lot less.

I booked the repo cruise from FL to CA because it was only $900 more than the 7-night cruise to Mexico. After much debate, I realized if I went on the 7-night I'd be kicking myself in the **** for not spending the extra cash to take 14 night!!!

Count us in as another So Cal family, eager to try out the Disney cruise experience. I booked the June 25th 2005 trip, and my son is just as excited as if it were June 25th 2004. Wev'e been AP holders on and off for several years and love to cruise, so it's a natural. We did choke a bit on the price. We could fly to Florida and get a Carribean cruise on Royal Carribian or Carnival for the same, or less, but it is Disney.
