So I'll probably get stoned by some for saying this ( :goodvibes ) but I'm really excited Christmas is coming up...I just love everything about it, minus the insane mall crowds. And my birthday is NYE and this year I'm going to Disney for it with Steve, so I'm SO EXCITED!!

Thanksgiving until New years is one of my favorite times of year!

I'm very excited! I also love the Fall & I'm excited it's finally here but I'm definitely ready for the holiday season too!  October to December is my favorite time of the year.

:santa::santa:I love Christmas!! :santa::santa:It's the best time of the year!!
:santa::santa:

I am looking forward to it. I have already started my shopping to.

I always loved Christmas. But since DS was born, it is SO much better.

I'm looking forward to it because we are giving our daughters (ages 10 and 4), the Disney vacation planning video that morning as our way of letting them know we are going back next year. They have NO idea that we already booked a trip, and it's going to be so much fun to see their faces when we tell them!

I'm not sure about it yet. The last two Christmas's were strange- DH was gone for last Christmas, and home on leave, ready to leave for Iraq for a year on the previous Christmas. He is HOME this year, which is awesome, but I just want to keep it low-key. The first Christmas he was on active duty the local post office 'adopted' us and spoiled us with a ton of gifts. And then last year a local family contacted my son's school wanting to know if there were any military families. The principal told them about us, and again, we were totally spoiled with way too many gifts (my mom and I had already shopped for the kids, so each child got just way too much! But it was so nice for the kids!). So I think since the last two Christmas's were crazy with toys, I am going to hold back a bit this year- I want to wait and see what the kids REALLY want before I do any shopping (I'm usually the type of shopper who is done by Thanksgiving). I AM SO looking forward to having DH here this year to shop for the tree with, decorating the house, etc. I'm more looking forward to that kind of stuff than the shopping, etc.

We just moved into a new house so I'm looking forward to getting a pretty tree and decorating it. But it's going to be hard because my dad and grandma both died this summer so I think it'll be a really sad time. :guilty:

I'm excited, we got a cabin in the mountains that comes decorated. So all I have to do is wrap presents and bring them up the hill. I might put little things out at my house but not much. My kids should have a blast skiing and snowboarding :D I am very excited.

I love the Christmas and the entire Christmas season. I love the decorating and all the lights on during the dark night. I hate it when Christmas is over an there is just darkness instead of beautifully decorated houses.

I can't wait! Last Thanksgiving and Christmas was Ok, but we were away from our family and Kurt worked both days. It is going to be great this year because we are home!!!

I love Christmas!!!!!! And the winter and snow!!!!

My husband and I bought a house last year, and were renovating it last Christmas, so this will be our first Christmas in the new house!

I've hated Christmas for the past 20 years or so. It doesn't help that my grandfather (who was more my "dad" than grandfather) died on Christmas Eve 8 years ago. But I've made the decision to try to get it back this year. I'm getting a DVD of the Baryshnikov Nutcracker (which I would watch 3-4 times a year as a child), a tree, I went through the holiday Yankee Candle catatlog and I'm planning to get LOTS of pine-scented candles...

I'm also going to try to borrow my crush-friend's kids. Maybe if I see it through their eyes, I'll get it back :goodvibes

Excited as anything because my family and two of my sisters are all traveling to LONDON for Xmas and New Years!! My son is attending college :teacher: at the University of Glasgow(Scotland) and he will be traveling down to LONDON to give all of us the grand tour of the city. I have not seen my son since he left me on June 25th :sad2: !!! It will be so awesome :teeth: . DS is only 20yo but has spent most of 2006 in Europe. I am so just dying to put my arms around him  . That will be the ONLY Xmas present I will need. DS turns 21yo on 12/30/06 :bday: ...so between the holidays and his bday we have allot of celebrating to do ::yes:: ::yes:: ::yes:: !!!

I love Christmas, even more so now that I have children. It's great to live it through their eyes. It's also a very special time for my faith.

But I don't want to gloss over my almost-tied-with-Christmas-just-barely-second-favorite-holiday...which is Thanksgiving. I LOVE it! I LOVE to eat and spend time with the family so right now my banana is dancing because Thanksgiving is on it's way!

add me to another christmas lover i can't wait for it... i was actually thinking about what to start getting people for christmas this year

After Halloween passes, I'll start getting anxious about the holiday seasons coming up but I'll be too into the end of the college football season and the start of college basketball. :)

Once Thanksgiving hits, though, it's all over! Break out the decorations and the egg nog!
