Anyone else ever ride the Indiana Jones ride at DL?

Don't know why, but I was just thinking about this this morning . . .

I was at DL/CA last summer and rode the Indiana Jones ride. It was pretty cool! Lots of neat pre-show stuff and the vehicles you ride in are wild. Just wondering if anyone else here has ridden it, and do you think WDW would ever get it (possibly at MGM)?

Hi!

I went on the ride several times when I was at Disneyland. It was a GREAT ride!!!! One of the best that Disney has come up with. Hopefully, Disney World will get it someday.

Me and my DW have riden it several times...If you ever go to WDW, go to the Dinosaur Ride at the Animal Kingdon. It is the same technology and is a good time as well.

I have be on it many times and I do like it. I would love it if WDW would get it but I have to say that I highly doubt that they will. They already have Dinosaur in Dinoland at AK. This ride is the exact same other then the theme so I doubt that they would bring over Indiana Jones. Sad!!!

We've ridin it a few time and we really like it. Fun ride, excellent theming. It would be great if WDW would get it, but I kind of doubt they will, since they have the Indian Jones Stunt Show. I don't think they would have two attractions with the same theme. JMHO

We rode it too! -and it got rave reviews from all of us-I was very suprised that WDW didn't have this ride-I hope that they do soon, my DS/DD are not too happy that they don't,since they were too little to ride it and their big brother did- and we don't have plans to go back to DL anytime soon

UGH! Dh won't let me live it down, how he LOVES this ride (lived in CA for years) and how I haven't ridden it yet. He is seriously planning a visit to DL next year, JUST so we can ride this together...

That is the BEST disney ride of all. I wish they would just get rid of the lame Indiana Jones stunt show and put this ride in instead.

Great Ride!! Also the new Mummy ride at Universal is like it too.

yep - we really liked it, especially the thememing in the queue. i doubt they will get it at wdw though.

Hi!

I've had the opportunity to ride IJ several times at Disneyland - they have one of the best-themed preshow areas and the ride is terrific. By the way, just got back from WDW where I stayed with a friend who is a Cast Member there...he tells me that the layout and vehicles for the Indiana Jones attraction are exactly the same as those for Dinosaur! in AK.

Went when it first open was it '95 or '96. Got early admission because we were staying at Disneyland Hotel. Went twice in a row. As were getting off the second time a CM notice my Dolphin Hotel sweatshirt. Since I worked at the Dolphin back then the CM let me stay on a 3rd time. It was great! By the time we got out the park was open to everyone and the line was now 2 hours long.
Really enjoyed the ride.

I went the summer it opened and we waited over 2 hours to ride, well worth the wait. I even got to sit behind the wheel (I was a teenager at the time and thought this was pretty cool!).

Have ridden it twice and loved it. I agree that it is like Dinosaur except for the theme. Last summer we went and DH & I were going on it and the ride broke down and they were having everyone exit. The CM's near us said we could wait if we wanted, but did not know how long of a wait there would be. So we waited and after about 30 minutes they started it back up. DD was wondering what was going on, since she saw all the people coming out and the CM outside said everyone was exiting. They did not know that some were allowed to stay in and wait.
She saw a mother waiting for her son to come out and when everyone was out, and still no son, she talked to the CM and wanted to go look for him. The CM eventually contacted someone inside and found that there were people still inside, so it eased the mother's mind a bit.

Very cool attraction, and though it features the same ride technology as Dinsoaur, Indy blows Dino out of the water.

I hear this rumor all the time... that IJ stunt show will be replaced within a few years with the ride now that the new stunt show is here.

My fave part is at the end when you are going down the "hill" w/ the big rock ball coming at you! It really feels like you're gonna get flattened!

Loved it!
Especially sitting on the outside seat.
Was rally excited about the Dinosaur Ride at AK...knew it was the same technology, but sadly, it's not nearly as good a ride or theming.
Hope Indy comes to WDW soon too!
