Anyone else enjoy it when a ride stops?

It's almost a given that if you ride with my crew, you'll be stuck on the ride ;)

I have to say, the best stop was at Expedition Everest in February. Luckily, we weren't on the big climb, but we were about 20 feet up suspended on tracks. Had to climb over seats to get out and to the side area. Then got to cut through the mountain on foot...mega cool backstage tour :thumbsup2

Stuck in the skunk room on Figment for a good 20 minutes before the ride re-started, yet all of the animatronics' voices were out of sync...:scared1: We've also been stuck on Splash, IN the unloading area, for 30 minutes. No compensation, either. :/ Other than those two experiences, getting stuck has been awesome otherwise. :)

Oh no -- the skunk room!!!! I hope you guys got something (fp, etc)!!! My dd5 HATES figment just for that room.

We've been stuck on sm world a few times -- usually near the end.

We got stuck a few times on Ariel -- under the sea section and Ursula.

We went to test track and were stuck 1st where u design the cars and then in the queue afterwards bc if thunderstorms. That was probably one of the worst.

I remember getting stuck on rides a lot when I was younger when we went during the summer .

We recently got stuck between 2 rooms of the carousel of progress. It was hilarious watching 2 eras at the same time!

I've never been stuck on anything at Disney! One trip as a child and two as an adult, and I don't recall anything stopping on us.

I did get stuck on Superman Ultimate Flight at Six Flags, and we were stuck in the position where you are facing down, arms dangling. It wasn't for terribly long, but it became uncomfortable. I would hate to be stuck on any kind of incline-- my lower back is troublesome, and I'm afraid such a thing would take me out of commission at least for the day.

I got stopped on Haunted Mansion Holiday at DL a couple of times. One time in front of the long hallway where you normally see a floating candelabra. During the overlay, you see Zero flying around instead, so that one was pretty fun. And getting stuck on a shooting game like Astro Blasters/Space Ranger Spin is always fun because you a super high score.

On the not so good end, we got stuck on Splash Mountain last year. We were like 10 feet from the unload area, but they wouldn't come take us out of the boats. We had to sit there about 10 minutes & I had a horrible leg cramp the whole time.

I've been stuck when I went as a kid on POTC right under the nasty, hairy pirate foot that hangs down & dangles in the air for about 45 minutes (must've been early 90s sometime). Recently, I was 'stuck' just for a few minutes on HM just as the DoomBuggie was leaning back w/nothing to look at so I put my hands behind my head & closed my eyes. It was really relaxing. :) I also had a not so good experience on EE just as we were climbing up the 1st hill. I went on SR that time & the guy next to me was kinda ready to freak out. It was uncomfortable & had it been longer than the couple minutes, I would've been right there w/him.

I've been stuck during that part as well! I love it, it feels really good on my back to be somewhat lying down and kinda cool do be listening to spooky music for a few minutes.

Hahahaha I think that's the ONLY place it's possible to get stuck on pirates!! You just have to stare at it and wonder if this will be the time it falls and hits you ;)

I know. I wished it was longer when we started moving, lol!

Glad I'm not the only one. :lmao:

Got stuck in TOT right when they push you down the hallway to the drop. It was weird seeing everything with the lights on. We were able to finish our ride. Funny thing was a family on with us who had never ridden it. They asked ": Is this normal?" My friend and I both looked at them with a look of fright and said no.

We were lucky our car got going again and we got to start the ride over. The other car had to have ladders get them out since their car stopped right after they had been pushed out for the drop.

last year during the after hours at MK we literally stopped at every hill lift at BTMR. the largest hill on the outside was the best cause we had some good views

I admit - I really enjoy it when a ride stops. Granted, probably not if it were 30 minutes or something. But I see a lot of complaints over a 3 minute stop. I was stopped on Haunted Mansion in the cemetery, and it was really cool. We got to look around and see things we'd never see otherwise. Also on Peter Pan, Ariel's Undersea Adventure and Spaceship Earth. Plus - our family makes a game of it. Anytime a ride stops we play a very quick and fun game of I-Spy! Anyhow, just thought I'd throw that question out there.
~No. Omg, I would totally *hate* to be stuck in the Haunted Mansion, it would absolutely creep me out! Also, IASW, Splash Mountain, POTC, and TOT are rides that I don't *ever* want to get stuck on!

~If I had to choose one ride, I *guess* it would be TSMM. :goodvibes

I'd love the idea of this, but I wonder if the when the ride stops the games stops too!

I have been stuck on numerous rides, mainly at Six Flags Great America. However at Disney World I've had the joy of being stuck on It's A Small World in the room just before the exit tunnel for what was 20 minutes with the song just going over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again.

Was also stuck on Living with the Land right out of the gate for about 10 mins just watching the rain scene.

Been stuck on the People Mover in the Space Mountain Tunnel for 15 mins, however Space Mountain was still moving and dark, this was just as bad as It's A Small World because the cast member kept making announcements that the ride could restart any moment and you need to sit your butt down (in a nicer way) and the speakers were on at full blast, or she was yelling into the microphone, either way it hurt your ears with every announcement.

While not stuck on the ride, I did get to experience Test Track at Walking Speed till it was time to run the loop outside. Imagine the horror of essentially walking into the Semi-Truck and slowly swerving away. I don't know what happened that ride, but it was like being stuck behind an old granny who could barely see over the driving wheel on the actual road.

After all these replies, I'm surprised I HAVEN'T gotten stuck on my previous 5 trips! Maybe a ride briefly stopped its "continuous" movement briefly, but no getting stuck otherwise. . . Yet another reminder why it's good to bring patience, a sense of humor, and a bit of creativity with you (ugh! Imagine stuck on HM with a youngster who wasn't quite sure they wanted to go in the first place and having a 20 minute wait!)

I usually don't mind getting stuck, depending on the ride. On my most recent trip, I got stuck on EE, HM, Little Mermaid, AND Splash Mountain. lol I think HM and LM were just letting handicapped people on though because they weren't stopped for long. EE, however, we got stuck for about 10 minutes right after going backwards before going down the big drop. I was fine though because it was hot as you-know-what outside so it was nice to be inside for a bit. lol

We were stuck on PeopleMover. We enjoy relaxing there. It was good. But we feel sad for the people that stuck there in total darkness.

I don't mind being stuck on Small World. I adore the dolls! If stuck, I could take a closer look, take more pictures, and maybe ask them why they don't get tired after all these repeated moves. :rotfl2:

If I get to choose, I don't mind getting stuck in ToyStory. I can score more points!!

I was stuck on Splash Mountain for a good 30 minutes right next to the waterfall area right before you go into the last scene with the riverboat... It took them 20 minutes to turn off the waterfall effect... Needless to say we got more soaked from sitting next to the waterfall for that time the the actual drop :-) we were offered anytime fast passes after which was nice

We got stuck on Splash once right before we would have gone over the big drop. So we had a nice view while we sat there for 20 minutes.

We recently got stuck in the Pooh ride. All the lights came up and I got the video camera out and started filming, you could see how all the ride elements worked. They had to come around to evacuate each hunny pot and we walked out of the ride. We were the last hunny pot before the exit doors so we didn't miss much and got FP's out of the deal.

We also ate dinner one night at flame tree BBQ in AK overlooking the lake and EE (it was winter months and dark outside). We quickly realized there was an EE train stuck on the incline, it was there a good 30 minutes, and you could see the flashes from their cameras and lights from their videos. As you know the views from that incline on either side are pretty spectacular just don't know if they would come out in the dark, but I'm certain there were a number of selfies posted to Facebook that night. Here's us stuck on EE...:lmao:
