Anyone else doing the happy dance?

OMG it was such a loooooooong 10 days with the kids home, I am so ready for tomorrow morning

I'm dancing, too. It wasn't just the 10 days DS was home, it was the 7 longer days that DH was also home.

I work from home and do cherish my quiet working conditions, also I can DIS whenever I want to. It seemed these past 10 days, I couldn't even get to the computer until they were asleep.

DH was home almost every day of the first 17 days of the month, then the kids got out and the scheduler had him on almost every day! Not just days, but also the mid shift, 2P-2A, and the night shift, 8P-8A. He goes back to work again tomorrow morning, the kids are still out tomorrow for a planning day so they're going to the hospital with him since I start Jury Duty!

Mine do not go back till Jan 8th..... DH goes back tomorrow...they have all been home since Dec. 21st when they came home from school and work....
arghhhhh couldnt we have this extra week in the summer?

Our kids were originally scheduled to go back to school tomorrow but it has now been delayed a day due to President Ford's death. Thankfully I checked the website because they didn't even bother to call or send out notices.

Oh Me me

My dd was home sick with pink eye so she missed the last three days of school before vacation. She has been home for two weeks. Last night I started singing It is the happiest time of the year.

Kids go back tomorrow...and I will be dragging my wretched bloated body back to Curves after the bus rounds the corner since I haven't been there since they have been home.

I am doing the happy dance too because DH just went back to work (pulling out of the driveway as I type) after being home since the day before Christmas!! I am surprised I have any hair left!! He drove me NUTS! I can not get a thing done with him home!

The kids don't go back until the 8th. Unfortunately, that's when I go back to work too! I work at an elementary school office and am lucky enough to get all school holidays off too!

I've been feeling gulity all day because I'm happy this is the last day of Winter Break. I've been doing a little dance all day.

It doesnt mean we love our kids any less. Mine are all looking forward to getting back to the routine.

I couldn't get to today fast enough! Usually my dh is home during the week between Christmas and New Years but since we just got back from a vacation he couldn't take another week off so I was with the kids all day while he was at work and they drove me insane! When dh is home that week we take turns being the referee, the bank, the taxi driver, the nurse and the maid but this week was all me doing all the jobs and dang it I hated every second of it!

I love my kids dearly but they needed to go back to get into a routine again and I needed them to go back to catch up on all the food they ate continually!

Due to the wind storm in WA state on Dec. 14, break started early. DD's last day of school was Dec 14. Eighteen days. I'm so very ready to send her back. I love her, but her nonstop tallking and fighting with her little brother gets to me!
