Anyone else doing Bing.com for cashback?

I started with them last year when they first began the program as Windows Live Search. I have to say that it's become my favorite way of shopping online! If you make a purchase from a qualifying store and pay using PayPal, you get your cashback almost immediately...no waiting for 30-60 days for it to credit.

My first purchase was back in December 2008 when they were offering 30% back on ebay purchases. They got me hooked with that. Yesterday, DS17 wanted to order some computer parts from Newegg and guess who had twice as much cashback as any other rewards program?

So far, I've gotten almost $300 in cashback rewards and it's all cash! I get mine thru PayPal but they also offer payment by check or bank deposit. Of course this means that some of my other rewards programs are not getting as much of my shopping traffic as they used to. But I always check to see who is offering the best reward for my shopping. So far, Bing has been winning more times than not.

Not trying to sound sarcastic at all, but it comes as no surprise that the giant that is Microsoft has the ability to wipe out the competition.

I really like some of the other programs because of their heart and personal attention. To me it's important that we support the smaller organizations and help keep the marketplace competitive.

Does everyone want the best cash back, absolutely, but it's really important that you take a look at the total package including two really big things like customer service and community.

I certainly agree with you. I'm so tired of Corporate crap. When we eat out, we always patronize the mom and pop places and try to shop at the smaller mom and pop shops. I just think its important, and I happen to be one of those people that love that one on one service, you know, where when you walk into somewhere they call you by name. Sounds silly, but customer service to me is extremely important.

I started with Bing when it was LiveSearch and 30% eBay/Paypal too. I loved it until the debacle that was Chirstmas shopping 2008. There was SO MUCH trouble getting cahsback paid out (not just me - there were entire websites and forums devoted to the issue) that I became a little leery of it. Then I had an issue in April of this year. IT took over 4 months of back and forth & finally threating to contact the BBB and State Attorney General (as suggested in the numerous forums dealing with the issue) to finally get my cashback in my Paypal account for an eBay transaction.

I have not dealt with them since. I often wonder if the reason they changed the name of the program was to get away from the negative press they were getting as LiveSearch.

I'm glad you have had luck. I wouldn't suggest the site to my worst enemy anymore.
