Anyone else doing a SEGWAY Tour January 26?

Someone asked why we'd want to ride a Segway? It's an incredible piece of machinery, it's a relatively new "invention", it's facinating in how it works, it's FUN!! I hope they add Segway tours to the other parks and maybe some that are for people who've already taken the "class" so they can just doodle around for 2 hours. Yes indeedy, I'd take that tour again and again!

I really think the Segway Human Transportation System is what EPCOT is all about.... IMHO EPCOT should always showcase, display and encourage inventors and their inventions.

Just signed up last night for the Jan 30 tour at 9:30, and got the DVC discount too!

I am scheduled for Feb. One question I have is the weight limit enforcement. I am a big guy, who is right around the limit. How strict are they on that number?

this is the first time ive heard of this tour and would love to know what it is about..? do you just do world showcase or do you also do future world? is it before the park opens cause i would think it would hurt if you got hit by one of those by accident if it was when the park was open how do you sign up for it... i would love to do it im going in october

JCTIGGER, the tour is so much fun. You have an hour of instruction on how to ride the Segway. The next hour, you ride as a group thru World Showcase. The first class is at 8:30 in the morning and they have a second class at 9:30. If you are DVC members, you get a discount. *you may get one with an annual pass* not sure about that. The segway is a fascinating machine.

You do get a discount with AP's - We're signed up for a 9:30 class in April. After DisMn's glowing review of her last Segway Tour, how could we resist?
And I completely agree with her that the Segway is really what Epcot is all about. Innovations that affect our World.....

Leota, all you have to do is "Become One" with your Segway. That's a big part of it...giving up control and letting IT do what it's meant to do, which is balance without your help. Incredibly weird!

You are gonna have a BALL, I guarantee it. And you'll do fine....of course you'll be squealing with delight when you get out in the open with your two-wheeler, but that's part of the fun too. LOL

We had a beautiful morning for our ride but the bridge by China was stuck in it's raised position so *whispering now* we were "forced" to ride back stage at Epcot from Norway over to Germany. What a thrill that was! Hubby was tickled pink to see what he saw (sorry, sworn to secrecy here).
