Hi!
I am of course excited that my trip is a little over two weeks away and on friday I decided to dig out some fun in my office at work. We normally have all kinds of music playing, so popping a cd into my computer is not odd, but playing the soundtrack to Spectromagic on repeat seemed to bug some of my student workers. hehehe
I told them I missed the workers who graduated last year as they were as if not more Disney obsessed than I. One of them specifically developed his own version of "Illuminations" to signify the end of every work day during the summer we had planned a trip to WDW. It was called "Elastications" and involved multi-colored elastics being shot into the air while the Illuminations music played. I know it sounds odd but everyone realy got into it, including the big boss. hehe Some days the two student workers would tie messages like "Mickey can't wait to see you!" & "A day in Disney is a day well spent!" to the elastics and it was like reading fortune cookies. I tried to explain this to our newer staff members but they could not fathom how it was remotely fun... I just had to laugh & laugh at the image of us all huddled at our desks waiting for the music to hit the notes when fireworks would begin signaling the onslaught of elastics! hehe
Not sure anyone else will "get this" either but I guess when you are bored and find a box of 2000 elastics, you make your own fun! hehehe
Mike
p.s. On Monday, I will be exposing them to Fantasmic and my 100 Years of Disney CDs hehe!
