Anyone else do Disney laid back like us?

The only thing we plan, other than getting there and where we are staying is what park we go to each day. We don't do ADR's we eat CS for lunch in the parks and dinner if we stay that long. Otherwise we get dinner out in town or DTD or our hotel. This has always worked for us. We don't feel rushed to get anywhere, we just enjoy ourselves.

Our only plan is which park we want to do the next day. We like to get there by rope drop because we are morning people.

No TS for us because we don't want to have a meal schedule.

I learned the hard way that my family is my family and planning our days extensively is not a good idea. Our first trip, wow..we were doing and running from 6 am to 10 pm. By day 3 we kinda looked at each other and all went back to bed..we were exhausted, unkind to each other..the whole list.

So, now..we plan ADR's. Nothing more. I love the idea of hopping on the first bus that comes along! I think I am going to suggest it to the family and see what happens!

We're pretty low-key when it comes to planning. We make 2-3 ADR's per trip but if we decide not to go to that park that day, we cancel them as soon as we can. We know which rides/attractions we'd love to go on & see and just make the rest up as we go along.

I'm a planner by nature & profession, but when it comes to vacation, I want to relax, put away the calendars & clocks and just be in the moment...

I like to plan, and have ADRs. We use UG to figure out which parks for which days.
BUT - when we get there we tend to just loosely follow the plan. If we decide to relax one day, I cancel our ADRs and we relax by the pool. I just like knowing that I have a plan that I can follow that will simplify things when we are there.

We have gone on trips with no park plan or ADRs but I prefer to have the plans and change them when we are there.
