Anyone else disappointed?

I really enjoy the new tiki room...but as far as JIYM goes #1 was the altime best....#2 sucked the big one...absolutely awful...#3 is OK...and only slightly better then #2 pales in comparison to number #1....But I do ride it just to catch a glimpse of Figment...

I took an Epcot tour last year shortly after "Journey..." opened and he said, let's go on it and see what it's like...." I haven't even been on it yet."

We all went on the ride and the CM came off somewhat speechless. I could tell he was disappointed with it but didn't want to comment.

dud.

I have only seen the current versions, so I have nothing to compare them too when I say that I like them.

Have you noticed how realistic the "plant lady" is. She seems to be a very advanced audio animatronic figure. I can see how she could scare young children though.

I saw the "original" Tiki Room in DL in Feb. I've read it has been shortened from the show that ffirst opened. I forgot how long "Let's all sing like the birdies sing" goes on and on and on...I think I like the "Under New Management" much better.

Sometimes are memories make thing grander than they may actually have been. I am willing to go to DL to find out thr answer to that question.

If I get the opportunity I will give the Under New Management new and improved Tiki Room a try. This time without a screaming and scared two year old.

Will give an updated opinion on that when I return. As for Journey into Imagination well, I have no real desire to go back. I miss the first one!

I love the new Tiki show, it's something we always do. Honestly, if the old Tiki show was so great and so packed all the time, why would they have changed it? It was getting dated and losing audience.

I hated the original Figment ride, was bored by the 2nd version, and I'm still bored by the new version.

Of course, my DD wanted to ride it 5 times in a row

I agree that the old Tiki Room show, classic or not, was somewhat too sugary for my taste. The new one is just okay but I swear I've seen more shrieking toddlers carried out of there than anywhere else in WDW. Couldn't they make it so it doesn't scare the patooties off the little kids?

The real reason I never go in there anymore is because they seem to keep the air conditioning at arctic levels for the whole show, no matter what time of year it is.

I loved the old Tiki Room, but I really don't like the new one. My kids never saw the old one, but they don't like the new one either. I really think they would've enjoyed the old one...

I never saw the old Journey, so I have nothing to compare the new one to. All I know is we didn't really like it, so I doubt we'll be doing it again next trip.

Actually, I was delighted that they updated the Tiki Birds as I couldn't get anyone to go in there anymore. I thought the old version was every bit as frightening, if not more so, than the new version. As far as Imagination goes, I loved the first version, hated the second version and think the newest version is a compromise. Talk about scary, my little grandson came unglued in the second version as we didn't know they had changed it from gentle Figment.
