We did the new version again last month. Both times we were in the middle on the bottom row. I really liked it! Being in the middle cuts down on the "bend", for sure. But I liked being on the bottom and seeing the bottom of the flim....so much detail that I was missing when we rode on top.
But I'm with the majority: when you're on the side, the bend distortion is bad for the Paris, the pyramids, and anything with a hard line/angle. It definitely messes with the magic. As much as I'd like to go back to the old version and ride over the ocean and Redwood Creek and Yosemite Falls, I'd probably be just as conflicted if the old version was as a bent as the new one.
