Anyone else cutting out events due to rising airfares?

I was going to suggest Southwest DING! to anyone looking for airfare but I see its already been posted. I was able to get Orlando to Manchester, NH for $69 per person/one way in July. Keep checking!

I am very lucky to live only 18 miles from the Wilderness Lodge where I work so I don't have to buy airline tickets, etc but I think $125 for the Princess 1/2 is alittle much. Will I still sign up? Probably but I am waiting as long as I can.

There are a couple of local, non Disney, 5K's coming up that I am thinking about. Each one is $25. Big difference.

I have found pretty good fares to Tampa. The fare on Northwest Airlines is $204 per person. I would have to rent a car and pay for gas but I still would save some $$ this way.

Thinking about it.....

I checked SouthWest. The closest airport is two plus hours away from me, so with the added gas and long term parking the savings would not cover the extra expenses or the time on the road.
