Here in CT, that's all everyone is talking about. We're expecting anywhere between 6-14". After Friday's early dismissal debacle (a couple of bus accidents and our staff having a very difficult time getting home), it's almost assured we'll have no school regardless of exactly how much snow we get. The downside.....I have 10 tickets to Disney on Ice Wed. night to take all my nieces and nephews. :guilty:

The kids are counting on it here. I think its pretty much a done deal too. Were now looking at 14" for us starting tomorrow evening.

That stinks about your tickets! Lately they have been allowing tickets for the canceled shows to be exchanged for other performances or refunded. If it gets bad I would hope that will be the case for you also!

I would and wouldn't love a snow day. I'm a high school teacher and my final exams (we run true semester courses) are next week so I don't want to miss a school day. BUT on the other hand, a day home writing my exams/spending time with my DH would be great! Also, we haven't had a snow day yet and would love to keep it that way so that are out sooner in June.

No station is Maine is really giving amounts at this point. Maybe on the 11pm news they will.

We are expecting a snow day here. Hopefully it all ends by early evening on Wednesday so they clear the roads. I have a flight to Orlando early Thursday morning!:goodvibes

We would love one here (DH and I are both teachers)... getting 4-8 inches...it will be the "timing" that will decide it for us! Could be a 2 hr delay or maybe off - depends on how early it starts, and how soon they get the roads cleared... Here's hoping for the snow to start as late as possible... :rolleyes1

I don't want any snow days! I'll cry if we have one. I really like my British Lit class and I LOVE my chemistry class and I'll be really upset if I have to miss it because of stupid snow.

We'll probably have one on Wednesday, and I'm not happy about it. We'll have to make the day up in June, and that makes my short summer vacation shorter (I teach in a program that has a state-mandated 220 day school year).

I hope NOT. My kids just went back today after 17 days off. Way too long IMHO, and exams are next week. NO SNOW DAYS, NO. I am just sifting back into my routine. :woohoo:

YES! We are only expecting 2-4 inches, so I'm really hoping it's on the 4 side. Unfortunately it's supposed to start late Tuesday afternoon, giving them plenty of time to clean it up by Wednesday morning.

I'm soooooo ready for the huge, shut down the state for a week, type blizzard we had last year.

No school here today! DD's school almost always waits till the last minute to call it which is 6am. This time they did it early, thank goodness. I was about to wake her up.;)

Yup! 12+ for us expected. I want spring!

My girls are already counting on it..... :rotfl: We're in the 12"-15" map according to the latest reports so if the city doesn't cancel school, I'm keeping them home since I drive them both in! :rolleyes1

Looks likely to be a snow day here on Wednesday. Depending on what weather forecast I read, they are predicting 6-12 or 8-14 inches. :sad2:

That wouldn't even give us a 2 hour late start-we have had ONE snow day in 5 years. If the snow started in the evening, fell overnight, it would be plowed enough for school to start on time. We need about 12 inches dumped from about 3 AM to 6am for a snow day to get called

Of course I'd love one but we are only expecting 6" here in Buffalo. If the timing is right (around the time busses leave) and it's really bad, maybe. Most likely not.

Schools here were closed yesterday and again today for a light coating on the ground but lots of ice. North Carolinians do not know what to do with themselves when anything other than rain falls from the sky. On the plus side, DH's office was closed yesterday and right now he has a 2 hour delayed opening.

I'll work just as hard from home as I would from work, but quite frankly I'm not upset about having to miss a church meeting tomorrow night. :rolleyes1
