Anyone else concerned about all the flight cancellations?

Flew DFW to LAX Sunday and returned this morning. No issues, no delays.

I was on a hub to hub route and surely got somewhat lucky. The situation should start to improve over the next week as the shutdown formally ends.

I'm flying again tomorrow and Friday to/from Houston (IAH not an AA hub) and can report back.

If anyone's wondering, I did not get to go to DLR while in LA. I was with my spouse doing a variety of other things, and we just could not make it to Anaheim. We probably would have tried if it was Christmas.

If anyone is there while Shifting Gears is filming, I highly recommend going. It's on the Disney lot and was a great experience to see Tim Allen filming a live audience sitcom. You have to sign up for free tickets in advance online and then show up around 2:15-2:30. The whole experience was about 6 hours between getting to the lot in Burbank and leaving the parking garage. No cell phones either! There's a few more tapings this year before the season ends. If it's renewed for season 3, then next fall would be a great opportunity!
