I think I must be crazy because this past weekend I booked our air for a trip over next April school vacation. Have NEVER booked this far in advance.

I booked with DirectAir of Worcester, MA for five of us nonstop for $205 a person...roundtrip. They are having the 50 percent off sale and when I looked, they had flights leaving when we wanted on a Thursday morning and returning the following week on Sunday morning when we wanted.

We are flying into Sanford and home from West Palm since we are visitng the inlaws for a day at the end of our vacation.

We usually go over Feb. break, but wanted to try April since we are hoping for warmer weather.

Anyone else plan ths far in advance?

Sounds like you got a great fare! I generally don't book that far in advance unless I am using frequent-flyer miles.

Easter is April 8 in 2012, so I suspect WDW will be very busy.

No, but I've been looking. Our break is over Easter as well. Prices are running around $350 per person right now and I know they will easily climb to $500 plus.

I do think it was a great fare so I jumped on it. Hopefully, it will be slower than Easter week because we are arriving on the 12th through the 22nd. By the time we get there maybe a lot of the people will be heading home since we are arriving the Thursday after Easter.

Just seems strange to book it so far ahead of time.

We loke to fly JetBlue and they only have fares through Jan 3 so I keep checking...as soon as they expand dates I'm ready to book as fare tend to go up not down.

We love JetBlue too. But their fares from Boston over any school break are always very high so I figured we would give DirectAir a try. Plus...the Worcester airport is only 20 minutes from my house so I am psyched about that.

I thought I heard JetBlue will extend the schedule around the end of this month if that helps.

Be careful, you may fall in love with Direct Air. We flew with them over vacation last April...flew home on Easter Sunday. It was a great experience. And to pay just $63 to park your car for 10 days???? Priceless. Granted, the food options aren't too great at Worc Airport. But plan ahead and you'll be fine. And it sure was nice to land at 5:30 and be home by 6:15...checked bags and all. Living 25-30 mins from the airport is a huge deal.

Flying with them again in Oct....really looking forward to it.

We already booked our end of Jan tickets. The prices were decent for us $204 round trip after taxes and fees and at that point gas prices were making their steady climb up and thought I would rather be safe than sorry. Plus being one of the first ones to book we had our choice of seats! Of course I've heard Delta is known for changing times so seats could change so I will keep checking to make sure we will stay seated by eachother.

The week before and after Easter are two of the busiest weeks. However, since Easter was so late this year, the crowds had mostly disappeared by the time I arrived on April 24.

I'm planning on being at WDW April 21-28 next year because my birthday is the 22nd. I will probably fly on AirTran or Southwest (if the merger goes through), so I won't be able to buy my plane ticket until some time this fall. I'm still waiting for AirTran to open up for Dec. 6!

We flew home on the 22nd this year and WDW was nuts with people. It was worse this yearn at Easter than I have ever seen. Maybe because of the hard winter up north?? It was worse that the week between Christmas and New Years!
