Anyone else book a Disney trip to cheer themselves up?

Yes, I've booked trips to have something to look forward to. And if my cancer ever comes back, I'm booking a trip before I start treatment!

I think it's the husbands job to worry about money.

Well, isn't that a bit archaic? Why should only one partner have that burden?

I think you may have misunderstood. I read that differently. Just like I tell my kids “it’s a mom’s Job to worry” obviously dad worries to. I think that is what that poster was trying to say, that it’s the “husband’s job to worry about money” I don’t think it was meant literally ( but I have been known to be wrong before)

I've been at least 1 'cheer' trip, which I needed so badly I did solo. ( Which was amazing! )

Not sure how long you were planning on coming down for, but you could look at shaving a day or two if that would make your husband more comfortable. OR if he's looking for a different experience what about a Disney Cruise. You'll still get the magic and he'll get something a bit different. ( And you could also do a pre or post trip for a day or two so you could get some park time ) .
