Anyone else been "lost" in the CRO computer?

I was just wondering if anyone else had recently had the experience of finding they were no longer in the Disney computer system when calling for a reservation. I called yesterday for our 35th trip to WDW since 1989 and they now have no record of us! Every other time I have called they have always said something about the number of trips we have made and had all of our information. I was curious about how we could suddenly become lost! Have there been new updates to the system. My CM was not very helpful and was downright rude! :confused3

The computer system there has lots of issues! I'm not surprised. That said, it could be a temporary glitch as well.

I'd actually prefer that Disney didn't have all of my trip info.

this happened to us in Feb
they lost my concierge room and told my I had to have a regular room
I was less than happy and spent 5 hours on the phone one day til finally someone at guest services found a room
it was ridiulous

I can see your point, but it's impossible to have any kind of code associated with your name if you are not in the computer! I am always hoping for a discount or upgrade when I call.:)

I always go through a TA, that isn't an issue in that case, thankfully (so I don't know how it works otherwise!)

Hopefully he got you back in - though it seems like everyday there is a computer issue!

I have had the opposite experience and they always tell me they have my household in there MANY times ( like 25-30 households all in my name!). Gee, unless I have a secret life I don't know about, not sure how that happened! The last time I called they had my name pulled up but had my address in Elmira, New York. I have only lived in Indiana, Louisiana and Florida, no relatives or friends who live in New York so I'm not sure how that happened either. Meanwhile my biggest challenge is to find out why my email is always listed as "do not email". I have gone to all the Disney websites and checked my profile to be sure my email is enabled and checked that I DO want email. Each time I call DRC they tell me they are updating it, but each call back I'm told that I'm on the "do not email" list. I was told I missed out on one code at least last year. I guess I'm just going to have to check Mousesavers and be diligent and annoying about calling to see if any codes are attached to any of my many households!---Kathy

Hi, yes, this happened to me when I called to make ressies in the spring they had no record of us or any of our stays and I had to give all the info again. I thought maybe our last name and street address would be spelled correctly now, but no, I made a ressie a few days ago and in the confirmation our last name is spelled incorrectly and 3 different ways for 4 family members, and our street address is also spelled incorrectly. There are a lot of vowels in our name, but still! Member services at DVC does have all the info correct, I guess because a deed is involved the data is entered with more care.

I made a reservation online, disney.com, and CRO had a problem looking up my reservation.

The online reservation system is different then the system used by CRO and reservations made online don't always transfer over to the main system.

I suspect that this is one of the issues being addressed with the new resort reservation system.

I've not been "lost" in the CRO computer, but it keeps reverting back to my old phone number. I've tried to change it with a CM on more than one occasion. They input the current phone number, then the next time I call, it's back to the old one. She said that sometimes happens in their system.

I have not been completely lost, but they have "lost" some of my trips. I called a few weeks ago to make a reservation for October and they did not have a record of my trip last year. Oh well not a problem. Unless of course this keeps me from getting one of those 40% off emails! ;)

This happened to me, too! I booked for April 2008 yesterday by phone, then tried to pull it up online. It kept saying I had to enter my conf. number and phone number (which I was), so I thought my reservation might have been lost. Turns out they had my phone number from three moves ago! Well, of course I didn't put that number into the computer - no wonder I couldn't find myself! :rotfl2: At least I was still in the CRO system!

Same here - just last week, they had our old phone # from 2-1/2 years ago listed again (for the umpteenth time!). :confused3

We got "lost" by CRO big time back in 2005, for a reservation we made way in advance for the Polynesian. I don't remember all the details, but Joe had to call them two or three times, and we ended up when we checked in *still* not having the King bed lagoon view room that we'd requested over and over again. But, before we had time to raise an eyebrow, the front desk moved us into a lagoon view king bed concierge room! All's well that ends well, eh?

That is odd, since I've long been told (since I've worked at DRC) that the Polynesian didn't have king rooms, just 2 queen beds (except in suites).

Exactly, lol...the Polynesian rooms all have 2 queen beds and a daybed except for a few of the suites in Tonga.

Add me to the list of those who CRO has messed with!
I had a trip on hold a few months ago, called back to confirm in about 2 or 3 days, and it was gone. I had definitely been told by the CM that it could be held for 14 days.
And to dclfun above, they can't get my email address right either! It's been changed, and every time I call and correct it, they say "ok, it's changed". I call back and NO, it's not!! What's up with that?? I'm like one of the above posters who is afraid that they're gonna miss getting an email with a good code!!
