We've never done it b4. I've checked with the airline several times (Airtran) and their policy is "same day, same destination, you may go standby if room is avail. without a penalty". I have moved flights around on SW without a problem, but again it was a same day & city situation. Who are you using? Never hurts to check schedule & call.

We are flying American with a connection in Dallas.. I have checked the flights on line and they are booked solid except for the Butt crack of dawn flight (12:20am) which is no big deal to me I know I won't be sleeping the night before anyway.. so why not head to the airport and hope for a flight

We have to go to Epcot cause that is the only place I am familiar with doing it I know there are a couple other Guest Relations spots but not where. We need to get the AP's with the DVC discount. Close to 375.00 so it is worth the trek for us. I could not justify buying them if not for the break in price.Doing windows ----yikeeeeees!!!!!!!! Can't leave the house dirty for vacation.

Yes, we bought in '94, resale at OKW. Wouldn't a grand villa be cool? Need to start saving those points. A BIG BOO HISS coming but I'd really go for the presidential suite at Bonnet Creek. It is MASSIVE & IMHO far exceeds Disney in decor. It is also brand new so no wear & tear. I Do Love My DVC, but Bonnet Creek has some great feature too.

Count me in May have problems leaving Dh at home, boys I'll have to bring. Nobody takes care of them like Mom. I am going to SCORE so many points with them when we get on the plane!!!!!!! I will be sure to thank you all when I graciously accept my Mom of the Year (ok, maybe week) award. Lost so much time this week, heading down to the mad rush last minute. We've decided to try to stand by on the 6am flight. Keep your fingers crossed for us. Oh, Lbelle for you that includes toes!

Has anyone ever tried "Stand by" before ?? how does it work ??Right now, we are flying out of Sacramento @ 2:20p.m on the 14th getting into Orlando at 12:20am on the 15th... total waste of a whole day considering we are paying for the room at Pop Century on the 14th and not arriving till after midnight .

We've flown stand-by before. Call the day before and ask how full the flight is that you want to get on. They'll tell you if it is completely full and you know that you have no chance of getting on it. If there are seats available, show up at the airport before that flight and the attendants will change your tickets to that flight. Sometimes you can do it right at those kiosk things where you check yourself in if your airport has those.

I'm hoping to get on an early flight out of Atlanta when we come on the 20th. It's about an hour ahead of the one we're scheduled on. An hour can make a big difference at Disney!

ok, Kimber one small detail of many crossed off the list. I've read a few posts most say walk on to 5 min with exception of Soaring & EE. Won't that just be the BOMB? We usually have to due peak periods because of Jeff's schedule. Won't know how to act walking on

This time last year I can remember being waved into attractions by the CMs!!! Mission Space, Dinosaur, Spaceship Earth to name a few!! Stayed in the car 3xs in a row at Test Track!!!!!

It is sooooo great not dealing with lines!!! Does make you spoiled though!!!
