Anyone Else Annoyed with the New Trip Planning DVD???

The family and I were so excited to get the travel planning DVD, but after watching it we were dissapointed.

First, the camera moves too fast and always seems to be "off balance". This is no doubt intentional, but still we found it hard to watch.

Second, the hosts seemed to "over the top"....The "Gen x thrill ride guy", the "host" Erin, and the "Relaxion guy" were just too annoying for our tastes.

Don't mean to vent, but just wondering if anyone else felt the same way...

I'm so glad someone else thought so! I had to fast forward through the "ride guy", he was so obnoxious! Do they really think people are like that? I would have been happier if they just showed the parks and the resorts.

I loved it!

My 2 year old loves to watch it, and now requests it in his DVD rotation..

It got us all very excited about our upcoming December trip!

I am glad they changed it - the last few ones they had had minimal changes, same people, same comments, same music - just slightly different scenery and ride changes.

I completely agree. The "adventuresome" guy was the worst. I wish there was more detail on each resort.

I liked it BUT I didn't like it.

I liked it because they showed a lot (and not the same old video of previous vacation planning videos), BUT it was pretty annoying for the exact reasons you've stated. It seems to be geared towards "kids"---not to be confused with being a kid at heart. Very annoying, indeed.

I like the old ones alot better, my two year old loves the thrill guy too, he laughs so hard every time he comes on the screen.

How do you request a Disney World DVD? Is it only supplied to those that are staying at an actual Disney property? I am staying at the Swan this Sept and was wondering about a WDW video of some sort and if they still offered them...

We loved it! Have watched it a couple of times. Love all the extra features, too. Thrill guy was just like my ds16. Cracked me up.

We liked (not loved) it. They were being over the top on purpose. They were trying to be silly. I to wish the resorts were covered better but my son and I had a blast with the trivia games which were well done. I have been getting the vacation video for years and I think this was their best video.

Why in the world can't they get updated footage of Polynesian WITH the (not so new now) volcano pool? The footage used is of the old, small pool and the landscaping isn't even accurate.

Also, I posted this on the community board but no one replied, the music used early on with "relaxation/recreation guy" is the same as the "Enzyte" commercial--guess relaxation/recreation guy has a "whole new swing of confidence" and "a happy partner back at the clubhouse. . ."

It jumped around too much and also the deluxe hotels were featured more extensively that the Values. Values seemed to be zipped over. We also had difficulty with the volume.

and we have only watched it once (I think we watched it once, not more than once). Concidering how the kids used towatch the old ones over and over this was a disappointment to us. Or maybe it's that we go so often we know everything that's on it,

We're just glad the "granny-ma won" clip from Buzz Lightyear isn't in it anymore!!! Every year a new video comes out and every year "granny-ma" is still in it!

We enjoyed the video. It was nice to see such a change.
