we really want to try this restaurant, but I am a bit worried that my one daughter may not try many of the dishes. Is anything offers for younger kids at this restaurant, like plain chicken? Or can you ask the server to make some of the food without sauces? My daughter is a decent eater, but for some reason does not like sauces on her food. She is 8.

Yup! We have eaten there many times and have always been able to order my son chicken nuggets and fries.

I went in December and I didn't ask, but we were given chicken and mac & cheese and brownie sundaes for the kids, in addition to the rest of the food. (It's possible our waiter asked the kids if they wanted it, but I didn't ask.)

They offer the children's choices from the nearby Kona Kitchen.
But I would never expect, nor ask, to have special season less chicken grilled just for my child. I'm sure it is prepared in advance and pre-seasoned. Glad there is something she can enjoy.

You can request a kids meal for her. I know my boys got chicken fingers & fries the first time we went years ago, but they actually enjoyed the regular meal as well once they tried it. I also wanted to add that I don't remember the meats being sauced. Most (if not all) had spices (like a dry rub) but I remember them being very mild. They have dipping sauces on the table but the meat itself isn't saucy (other than the chicken wings & possible the shrimp). I haven't been there in a few years though so not sure if anything has changed.
