Anyone eat at Casey's?

For some reason, I have this strong desire to eat at least one meal at Casey's Corner in MK while we're on our upcoming trip. It's probably the MK QS I read the least about here. I've seen the corn dog nuggets mentioned as a good snack option, but does anyone actually go there for lunch or dinner much?

When I'm trying to avoid dealing with the daily grind and I let my mind wander to Disney, I inevitably picture myself (and my folks) sitting at one of those outside tables with the cute red and white umbrellas, enjoying our hot dogs and soaking up the atmosphere. Maybe there's a parade going by, Maybe it's nighttime and everything is all lit up and beautiful around us.

Anyone?

We have used it for a dinner option. With both hot dogs and the corn dog nuggets. We like to sit on the curb of Main Street. Lines can get busy. When we have gone for dinner, no chance for is to find a table. But I think folks are staking out for MSEP and Wishes.

It's part of our tradition. I think it's probably part of Disney magic that the hot dogs always taste so good.

I ate here with my dad when he took me when I was 13 during my first trip. Since his passing in 2004, it has become a tradition for me to eat there every trip. Now that the cheese is gone and I am trying to lose weight it doesn't taste right when I get the corn dog nuggets. I think I may skip it in February.

We really enjoy Casey's Corner. Last time I had the BBQ Slaw dog. We sat at one of the outside tables eating our hot dogs and french fries. Every so often a duck would waddle up to our table begging for food. We gave him a few french fries. I like this place.

I for some reason always had the same glorious idea in my head - that Casey's would be a spot we had to try. Until I actually tried it lol. Hot dogs really aren't my thing but my fiance really likes it there. It's quick and easy and relatively cheap - $11 ish for a meal that comes with fries, I think. I got the corn dog nuggets last time and was less than impressed because a) I wanted Columbia Harbor House but they had closed early for the Christmas party, and b) the nuggets were lukewarm. Their fries are really good and it's a cute spot to sit and watch the parade or something, but we usually just eat there when we're starving and want to eat now.

There used to be little stadium like sitting inside where they showed Disney shorts (sorry don't remember if it was still there last time we were in there) which was kind of fun to sit at.

The screen that played the shorts was taken down in 2014 to make room for more indoor tables. I understand the need for doing so but it's still sad to me bc I used to love sitting there watching those shorts.

You can both enjoy a hotdog (I'm partial to the BBQ Slaw Dog, my wife to the Polish Sausage with Grainy Mustard) and....

My Dh MUST get an order of corndog nuggets as he's leaving MK late at night..... I don't know why.....

We tried it for the first time last year, as a late night snack on our way out. We split the Polish sausage with grainy mustard and really liked it!

Yes! So great!

This thread has convinced me. Our last night at WDW will be spent at MK for Wishes and MSEP and late night rides (Jungle Cruise!). We will partake in some hot dogs at Casey's on this night! And it will be marvelous! LOL!

Gotta say....Love Caseys! It just feels like MK to me. Simple, fun fare. ...and the piano player!

We skip it. Too much chaos. People hogging tables for hours. And you can get hot dogs anywhere. I'm glad though that Casey's has its fans. We leave MK for meals.

nooooooooooooo the cheese is gone?! Is it gone from everywhere? sucky!!!!!!!!

**I don't know the hour of the Piano Player @ Casey's. If this is an important piece of your calculus, look around for those particular details.

We're known to have early dinners, or sometimes a big lunch with an understanding that at some point in the day, we're gonna' want one of our favorite food things - Magic Kingdom has both Casey's & Sleepy Hollow (for lunchtime Sweet & Spicy Chicken'n'Waffle and other savory combinations).

Casey's always seems to be where we go if we're back in the MK at night looking for a snack. One [1] hotdog/sausage is plenty for a snack (particularly the BBQ Slaw & Chili Dogs). But going to Casey's around lunchtime and listening to the piano is something special. So too are the treats at Sleepy Hollow if you're behind the stage (so-to-speak) from Cinderella's Castle when the show is being performed; I don't know if this view has been impacted since the renovations around the stage area.

The only other Park where we enjoy the food is Epcot. France gets the nod for their wine bar, fresh sandwiches next door, and ice cream in the third establishment. Tutto Gusto Wine Bar in Italy & Tequila in Mexico (never on the same day for us) round out our favorites.

50's Prime Time has excellent Maragarita's to-go while grabbing pretzels and popcorn from any vendor, otherwise, the food at HS is 'meh'. Although, both Fairfax & Minnie's have 'Foot Long Chili Cheese Dogs' (where Fairfax used to have the Casey version & a Mac'n'Cheese Dog (yes, really).

Our favorite food at Animal Kingdom is someplace else - back at ESPN Zone when we take the bus back to Boardwalk vicinity for the cold beer & nachos.

I like the little "First Pitch" ceremony they do at opening-one of those cute "Disney Touches".:)

I mean, a hot dog is a hot dog, isn't it?
Oh, dear heavens, no! Any true Road Food warrior can tell you that hot dogs vary tremendously. Put an Oscar Meyer in one hand and a Hummel in the other and you will soon answer your own question. I'm with Rusty on this one. The current iteration of hot dog and bun now served at Casey's is a poor substitute for a great hot dog experience.

It's a pretty good hotdog. Not a Chicago street dog, mind you. If you are in the mood for a hotdog, this does the trick!

Never had the nuggets, but our hot dogs were average at best. Seating was a nightmare and a lot of sunny tables, and there's no getting away from the ravenous birds. I don't plan on returning.
