Anyone driving from KC and if so how many days do you take to get there and where do you stop along the way?

We drove from west of Lincoln, NE in Feb. We took 3 1/2 days to drive. 400 miles first day, 450 the next 2 days and little over 200 the last day. Sorry, can't help much with staying from leaving from KC, you probably want to go farther than Jonesburg, mo the first day! Go back and look at bigredbills trip report, I think they stayed at KC the first night and he had where they stayed the rest of trip. Day 2 we stopped at KOA south of Nashville (nice campground) and day 3 a KOA at south Valdosta, (again a nice place) easy drive from there to where we stayed (stayed offsite for 4 days because we were going to Daytona 500 and that is a whole different story!) I'll go back and look to see where we stayed and post later.:banana:

We drive from Denver, so we pass right through KC. KC to STL is about 4 hrs, then we drive down to Nashville (good place for overnight stop), then down to Southern GA (another good overnight stop), and then onto Orlando (about 5 hrs)...just in time for check in.

I-70 to I-64 to I-57 to I-24 to I-75
KC to the Fort should be about 1310 miles

word to the wise: if possible avoid Nashville and Atlanta during rush hours (night preferable), especially if you are towing a trailer. I've driven in L.A., S.F. Wash DC, Philly, N.Y.C., L.Vegas, StL, K.C., but ATL and Nash traffic rush hour really sucks. Nashville = construction and traffic. Atlanta = MASSIVE traffic.

Hope this helps
