Anyone drive from Winnipeg?

Just curious - Anyone ever drive to WDW from the Peg?

If so - what route and how long it take you?

When I was a kid we drove down twice, camping most of the way (second time in an RV, which was pretty sweet). We went in March for two weeks at a time over spring break so we only missed a week of school. The drive down was 30-32 hours so we generally did 4 days driving there and three days back, leaving about a week in and around Orlando.

I recently did an on-line trip-tik with CAA which confirmed my memory on the driving times.

Also a long time ago. I have no idea of the route, but my dad was one of those "take no prisoners, you can pee in a bottle, recording his mileage every night" types. It took us 3 days, averaging 9 hours a day.

Seriously, I love my dad but the yearly family road trips were horrific.

I also remember that CAA gave him a nifty little map book with our whole route highlighted - if you're a member, I'd go see them. I also hear that they have decent discounts for Disney, so it may be worth your while to get a membership if you don't have one.

We drove down 3 years ago. We left at 2am and drove stright through!!! We had 5 adults and 2 small children...let me tell you it was pretty crazy! It took about 35 hours for us-lots of stops because of all the people and pee breaks!

We are possibly planning to drive again at the end of April. This time we will stay in a hotel for one night in between. This should be alot better. We havent deceided yet though!!

Wow! I love driving, but that's more hours in a car with my kids than I would want to spend. I guess that's why we find flying out of Minneapolis a breeze.
