I'm going to be in the market for a newish car. My P.O.S HHR, is just too small for me to get comfy in. Wondering how the leg/knee room is. Thanks.

I'm driving a Soul as a rental right now. I have plenty of room - but in the interest of full disclosure, I'm only five feet tall. But I'm on vacation in Las Vegas, and using valet parking everywhere, and so far nobody has seen the need to adjust the seat (I hate when they do that!).

I don't know about the new cars you mentioned, but my husband was in an accident and while our car was in the shop, the insurance company gave us an HHR rental. It heated up quickly and made sharp turns - loved that, but I felt like I couldn't see in that thing. Too much car and too little window!

We bought DBF a Kia Spectra, when we were there we saw the dealer had brand new, just off the truck Souls so we test drove one. We knew it was out of our price range but we wanted to check it out. :) We didn't drive it far but we loved it!!! It was so cute and so much to drive. DBF is 6'3" and he had plenty of room, he sat in the front and back seats and he had plenty of room. :) If we didn't already have the minivan I would want a Soul, especially since we only have 2 kids at home and 1 dog instead of 2. :)

We rented a Soul on a trip to San Francisco in November. We drove all over the city, up to Napa Valley and along the Pacific Coast on Highway 1. We both fell absolutely in love with it, and we're not people who are particularly into cars. It was great on the mountains, great on the curves, great on the freeway. It was very comfortable b/c the seat is up higher and there's plenty of leg room. Since then, we find ourselves unexpectedly in the market for car as an inattentive drive turned left in front of DH as he was coming the other way, destroying his older Camry. You bet we're going to look at Souls.

You said "newish." That's one of the issues we're running into. We usually buy lease returns that are two-three years old and still under factory warranty. We're not finding Souls that fit this description.
