Anyone done Wishes dessert party or ferry tale cruise recently?

I have read that mid April they changed the dessert party for Wishes to enable you to go out into the old fastpass+ viewing area for Wishes. Has anyone done this and if so, was it an improvement or not?

Anyone that has done the Wishes cruise recently, did they have a bus to take you back to resort afterwards? I have read a review that says they do this, but it was a while ago so if anyone that has done this recently could let me know it would be helpful!
