My 9 y/o dd is dying to try this. But I've never seen anything written from someone who has tried it themselves. She is a good swimmer, like a fish. Ever since Lilo and Stitch came out, she's been a surfer nut. Can anyone give me any info, lowdown, whatever on this? Thanks a lot. We'll be there in Aug. so it certainly will be warm enough.

I was going to do it a while ago. Im a very bigger surfer. But you have to be there at like 6 am before TL opens. Not worth being tired all day for only like and hour of surfing. I think its pretty expensive also, but then, what at WDW isnt?

My son did this last year and said it was "very cool!" I think the cost is $125 but you can get a discount (at least we did at the time) with a DC card or AP.

He did have to get there very early in the morning. First they had some dry land instruction and then went out in the pool. An instructor is out in the deep water and pushes the student when a wave approaches. The class lasts about 3 hours.

If your daughter is a Lilo and Stitch fan, you may be interested in doing what we did. After my son surfed, we went to EPCOT and visited the Imagination pavillion. There we had a picture made with my son surfing with Lilo and Stitch. We thought this was a fun and appropriate souvenir for this trip.
