We've booked with WDTC so got the perk of the preferred fireworks viewing.

Phoned and booked us in at weekend.

For MK she said arrive at Plaza landings about 8.45 and for illuminations near boat ramp at Morocco.

Is it obvious where to go?

Do you need to arrive very early to get a good place or is 15 mins sufficient?

What is the view like?

We used the preferred fireworks viewing last year, its right in front of the plaza where the outside tables and chairs are, the view isn't too bad, but there are trees a bit in the way.

We got there about half an hour before the start of wishes and it was empty, but started to fill up really quickly and I was glad we got there when we did because we got a table and some chairs to sit at .

It isn't the best place to view the fireworks to be honest, but when its busy in the park, its nice to have a proper place to sit away from all the crowds. HTH?

We did the same at Epcot last year and YES the place is easy to find. We were there 10 minutes before Illuminations and there was still enough space for more visitors. But you have to keep in mind that we used this offer in October when the park was not very growded!

I have read here on the DIS that the sport at the MK is not very good and so we did not used this one. But the one at Epcot was great and we would use this place again.

We did not use it for MK due to trees blocking some of the view, however, we did use it at EPCOT - easy to find, we arrived about 10 mins before and being August we were most suprised to only find one other family. I guess it's just the luck of the draw!

We had the same experience last year, and we used it on a public holiday when EPCOT was really busy :thumbsup2

I have never used the MK one but as other posters have pointed out, the trees make it a less than ideal location. I wouldn't go out of my way to stand/sit there. Epcot looks great though. :thumbsup2

We did the Epcot ones and they were fabulous! We actually got there about an hour early and the woman manning the place told us to come back in 45 mins because there would still be enough room. We actually came back in about 30 mins and were the second group there. It was amazing, it felt like Illuinations was being put on especially for us, no one blocking our view. Would do it again in a heatbeat!

How do you book this?

Just phone Disney Uk, when I did it last year it was on one of the selections when you dial directly. When you get your vouchers sent in the post there should be vouchers for the preferred viewing areas for you to take with you.

Yes I phoned to book and the cm gave me a reservation number for each one and said to bring the vouchers.

Wasnt going to bother with this but now i have read your reviews I think i will def book the one at epcot. Have always stood out side CP to watch wishes but as we are going twice to each this time may book both and try both out if that makes sense. got to wait for vouchers first:cool1:

You don't have to wait for your vouchers Alyson. You can phone Disney UK, select option 4 and it will take you through to reservations. I think they are closed now, but try them tomorrow. I made my reservations at the same time as my ADRs in April ;)

Thanks tiggs (please tell me your name :worship:)

Lee :) But Tiggs is my name too! No, seriously (well not passported :lmao:).

When I was pregnant with DD it made me so annoyed when people called the bump "IT". So I named the bump Tiggi and as soon as anyone started referring to "it" I would tell them "Meet Tiggi". When DD started talking the name had still stuck, and has to this day, but I would call her Tiggi/Tigs and she would call me Tiggi/Tigs back. The habit continues ;) - hence my screen name: 2Tiggies :)
