If you have please tell me about it.

What is allowed?
What was your food plan like?
Is it really hard to stick to?
Have you had any side effects?

Any info at all - recipes etc..

Yes. Google Dr. Simeons Pounds and Inches (and read it)...that should answer all of your questions. Dr. Oz also has an episode on his website (split into 5 parts) that explains it well, as well as an article in First magazine (not online)

I also advise going through a doctor that will not only make sure you are healthy enough but will provide "supervision" throughout the process. The homeopathic drops may not have enough of the hormone to actually affect the resetting of the hypothalamus (i.e. the science part of the protocol).

(I'm now in a size 2....and run an online support group for the protocol with about 80 members. It's a private group and we police it so there is no bad advice or loopiness on there, like on so many other large sites)

(And I think I need 10 posts to pm, so this should be the 10th post?)

If you pm me, I'll answer more questions. I know this protocol can be quite controversial...so if this thread gets that way, I won't probably answer on here. I can tell you that it has worked for me. It has worked for friends of mine, my husband, friends' husbands, and my mother. Combined...we've lost PEOPLE in weight. LOL

tried to PM - won't go through Please try to PM me I will respond

Don't know how that happened  Now how do I fix it - I am good with the simple but ......:confused3

Hes, I know all about it. I'm a consultant for it. I've also lost 18 pounds on it. My DH lost 25. I am starting my next round on July 1st, can't wait!

There is a very strict diet you need to follow, and no cheating. No exercise either. It's great. lol

You can PM me with any questions, too. Feel free. :)

I did it about 3 years ago. I used the sublingual drops made by a company called Releana. The food plan was tough at first, but I adjusted to it quickly. I've never felt better in my life.

Total over the course of about 6 months, I lost 65 pounds. I was dumb about it & didn't follow the recommended transitional phases.

I'm sad to say, I've gained everything back. Releana is no longer available around here - I wish it was. I'd do HCB again in a heartbeat but I need to find a doctor I trust to work with.

CUTE puppy!!!

Yes, if you don't do the stabilization phases, your hypothalamus won't be reset---and then no set point! I'm so sorry that you've gained it back. I definitely will say, having done a few different types in my journey, that the injections from a doctor are THE BEST.

(OP---did you get my email yet?)

As someone who's lost 50 pounds over the last 18 months by diet and exercise you need to ask yourself how permanent this will be. I saw a post about "transitional phase" which means to me you have change your eating habits, again.

If someone can do a "diet" and keep the weigt off more power to them but I think a more permanent way is changing one's life style and eating habits. There's virtually nothing I don't eat, I just eat nearly so much of it(eating habits). I also exercise on a regular basis (lifestyle change) I never go hungry either. Going hungry is not necessary and can be self-defeating.

I believe either the Washington Post or Wall St. Journal recently ran an article on this diet and the research does not support it.

I don't know about it being banned but at work we got a memo from BCBS saying they would not pay for the injections.

Most insurance plans won't pay for HCG when it is being used for "on label" uses...like fertility treatments anyway. It is actually not that expensive of a drug when compared to other hormones for fertility use.

I've also heard rumors of the diet being "banned", but I'm not sure how anyone would go about that exactly. However you feel about Kevin Trudeau, he has some theories on that....and the reasons why. Now, I could understand banning homeopathic HCG, since there is no quality control, no regulating, etc....

I keep hearing from peeps in the medical field that it's about to be banned.

I think that's what the article mentioned that I read. If this really worked you would have heard about it all over the news. It seems that some of the posters in this thread have a financial stake in it. These types of fad diets with a miracle potion always have a strict food intake regimen as well which is where the weight loss really comes from.

Beach - nope never got it.

I have a friend who was very successful but he has moved far far away :rotfl2:

I can't seem to keep to a "diet" for more than a day :sad2: How do you do it for weeks at a time??

I definitely worked for me and I did keep the weight off for about a year. I am very aware that I am an emotional eater, and with that in mind, I am very sure I would have gained the weight back no matter how I had lost it.

That said, I did this with several friends. Of the seven of us, only 2 gained the weight back. The rest have maintained and look great. And of the 5 that kept weight off, only one did the recommended transitional phase.

If anyone could lose weight through healthy eating and healthy exercise levels alone, there would be no overweight people. Some can, some can't. Kudos to those that can - I am not one of them. HCG helped me - and I have NO financial stake in it or any related business.....nor do I know anyone who does.
