We have an ADR for Cape May in November. My kids are on the fence about seafood, but my dh loves it. Are there lots of options for non-seafood lovers? How is the atmosphere? And is there lots to see at the resort? We always do one resort meal each trip, so I'm curious what they have to see and do besides food.
TIA!

I had my rehearsal dinner for my DFTW there in 2004. I am not a seafood lover at all but everyone loved the restuarant including myself. There's much more than seafood to eat from what I remember. Also if the resort is set up for xmas it's gorgous. Another nice thing to do is take family pics on the beach facing the Boardwalk. You can even take a walk over the the boardwalk and check out the nightlife.

We love it .Actually there are more NON seafood options than there are seafood ones.

I had no problem feeding my toddlers there and the 13 year-old went up for refills repeatedly. I was impressed with the variety of dessert offerings! No complaints about the food from my group.

You don't mention the ages of your children, but our entire family loved that we were able to color on the "tablecloth". Each table is supplied with a few crayons and the entire table top is covered with a white sheet of paper.

Lots to eat for non-seafood people, although we also enjoy the seafood.

The restaurant has a bright and cheerful atmosphere and the resort is quite nice. Take a few minutes to visit the gift shops and make sure you stop by and admire the pool (Castaway Quay) which is almost a water park. If it wasn't for the fact that we love the Poly and the monorail, we might decide to stay there.

We were there just a couple months ago. We love Cape May for breakfast and dinner!

Only one of our four family members is a seafood fan, and we all enjoyed it.

The pool is actually Storm along Bay.Castaway cay is the Disney Island on the Cruise line;):flower3:

Cape May is a great place for a group to dine when there is a wide variety of food preferences. There are four sides to the buffet, each with different selections and everything from fish, to beef, to chicken, to ribs are on offer.

There is a separate dessert station.

The Beach Club is part of the circle of resorts that includes the boardwalk, so yes, there is plenty to see. You can stroll the circle. Explore BC itself. You won't be able to use the pool, of course unless you are a registered guest, but you can have a nice look around.

The boardwalk has entertainment in the evening so you could stroll over there and enjoy those small acts. You can rent a surrey bike (but let me tell you, they are heavy and those little hills become mountains when you are on that bike)!

It's one of our all time favorite places to dine for many reasons.

If you are done before 9:00 pm you will be able to see some of the fireworks from Illuminations.

We just ate hear a few days ago and it was one of my favorite meals. The atmosphere is really comfortable and relaxing and the service wasn't as rushed as at the character buffets.

The food was fresh and good quality for a buffet. Even the kid's mac n' cheese was homemade. It really isn't just seafood. In fact, with the exception of the peal-and-eat shrimp, clams, mussels, and standard Disney salmon dish, there wasn't any other seafood.

A word of warning: the desserts are in a separate area. On the back side of the buffet there are cookies and brownies but there is another full dessert section. I didn't notice until I had already filled up on brownies...

This was a great question to ask!! I have never ate there, but DH wanted to try it, I think not only bc of the seafood but also they have prime rib?? Are some kind of beef/man food:rotfl2: , good to know about the desserts too- when my kids ask to go up for 2nds I'll have to watch them.

Last week our family ate for the first time at Cape May. It was great! No one left hungry. There was something for everyone to eat.

We love it! It is a fun, family friendly dining experience. We sat on the beach since we arrived a little early and then took a walk when finished. We have it planned for our upcoming trip and we are taking friends along! Enjoy!:)

I believe the Prime Rib is gone like most Disney buffets. It was siroloin last time

There's a child's section and it's sure to please.

They mix it up enough; so, everyone can enjoy eating there.

There's even a small dessert bar.

I actually like their cold bar alot.

Best dessert buffet among all Disney buffets. Oreo bon bons, flan with berries, great cookies....

We don't eat clams or mussels so I hesitated to book but no one left hungry. There was a good variety and like someone said it was less rushed than the character buffets.

This is a great place to eat and it's a must do for us every time we are there. This time we'll be doing it twice, once for breakfast and once for dinner. Like so many OP have said, there is plenty to eat on the buffet for non-seafood lovers too. Go and enjoy.

Cape May is one of my must do buffets, I have reservations there the second week of December. Time is later than I usually go, must be busier due to the free dining, 830 pm.

My family and I ate at the Clambake at Cape May a couple of years ago. Neither my kids or I eat any type of seafood and this dinner turned out to be one of our favorites. There are SO many choices and good food and the dessert table was filled with yummy goodness :worship:. I would totally recommend it. Have fun!

We have not done the Clambake but have had done the character breakfast a few times there. The food was great and the character experience was good.
