Anyone done Segway tour who stayed in BW area?

We are staying at the YC and have ressies for the Segway tour which starts at 8:15 (before Epcot opens). Can we get into Epcot through the International Walkway at that hour since WS doesn't open until 11:00? Will they just let us walk to our meeting place or will a CM escort us so that we don't go somewhere we aren't supposed to? We have to meet at Guest Relations over by the camera shop in Future World. If we can't get in through International Gateway then how do we get there? Do we have to take a bus to TT and then take the monorail back?

We did the tour while staying at Beach Club. Yes, just go to the International Gateway entrance. We told the CMs at the turnstyles that we were scheduled for the tour and they let us in at 8:00. There are ropes and CMs along the way to ensure that you go in the right direction however, they do not escort you. Enjoy the Segway Tour...it is a great way to spend 2 hours!

Thanks, Mrs. Toad. I was afraid that we'd made a mistake scheduling the Segway for a trip where we were staying in BW area. Will they let me in? My husband has ressies for the Segway, but I don't. I'll need to show him where to go. I'm hoping I can enter, too.

I'm not sure of the answer to your second question though I'm guessing they might resist letting someone into the park early if they don't have a ressie for some event or another. I would call the tour number and ask, just to be sure. Even if they don't let you in, there are CMs all along the way to guide him. Maybe you can sleep in that day or do something special for yourself?

Actually, any of the Epcot area resorts are the ideal place to stay if you are taking the Segway tour. I've taken the tour twice & when I stayed at the Boardwalk Inn, it was a breeze to get to the tour on time. The second time I took the Segway tour, I was staying at the Contemporary. I was almost late, because the monorail took longer than I anticipated, plus it was difficult to fight my way through the crowd waiting to enter at the front gate of Epcot. This was back when the tour started at 9:00am & it was pretty crowded at the entrance.
