We're planning Christmas day breakfast at the moment and likely to do room service at the GF pretty early am. Has anyone else done this on Xmas day, any problems, how soon to organise etc. We're arriving 12/16 so were planning on organising this early in our trip.

We're going to be joining the madness of MK :crowded: and our park commando 7 year old is going to have us marshalled at dawn:cheer2:! BBB and 4pm LTT will hopefully help us retreat to the hotel by early evening. DH favourite part of Xmas day food is breakfast, and we'll do stocking presents first thing, so room service sounded like a good (and fastish) way of combining nice breakfast and hitting the parks!

It sounds like a great plan to have breakfast in the room that morning.

You really don't have to worry about organizing it too early in your holiday. You can even call that morning. However, there are pre-order forms for breakfast that we find most convenient. Simply check off your order and place on the outside door handle before 2 am or so (the required time is listed on the order form). You also check off the half hour increment for which you desire service. In our experience, meals arrive on time and hot. A great way to start Christmas Day!

Thanks for the information - sounds like this is the way to go, quick and civilised. I like the half hour increments, although suspect we'll be going for an early one, and hope the coffee is reasonably strong!:coffee:

We did room service at WL this past Christmas morning. I just called them, placed our order and it arrived within about a 1/2 hour I think. It was a great way to spend the morning. Santa had brought DS presents and he wanted to play with them for a while...it was perfect. Then we went swimming until about 12:30pm. Then the weather started to turn pretty bad and there were tornadoes to the north of us, so we went in and took a big, long nap while it stormed. We went to EPCOT that night just as the rain was starting to taper off, ate at Le Cellier. We had a wonderful Christmas!
