Anyone Done New Years Eve Before?

What can we expect this year on the Wonder? Our first cruise.

Not sure if the celebration is the same on the Wonder as on the Magic, but we were on the Magic this year for NYE. Big party in the attrium.....that was broadcast into all the clubs and cabins so if you didn't want to be with the crowd, you still could see what was going on.
Also passed out free champagne.

Hi! We were on the Wonder last NYE and it was GREAT! Our celebration sounds just like the Magic celebration as tvguy stated.

It was very festive - LOTS of balloons and confetti. They also offer sparkling apple cider - which I drank and so did my DD13 - so we could all make a toast a midnight. They served the drinks in plastic champagne glasses that had the date and DCL logo on them - we are still using them.

We also recieved a special lmt. ed. lithograph in our cabin to commemorate NYE on the Wonder. It has all the Disney characters ringing in the New Year. All the people on the ship recieved one - a nice touch.

We were on the Wonder for NYE last year. There was a real range in dress: about half the men were in suites/sports coats, a quarter in black tie, and a quarter casual (shirt, no jacket). The women were dressed accordingly (gowns, cocktail dresses, and pantsuits). I think you would feel comfortable in just about anything.

We loved the cruise and would do it again in a heartbeat!

It was a mix on the Magic too. Dinner that night was formal, and since we had late seating, we stayed dressed up. No big deal either way, it's basically an informal party.
Only time I ever say anyone under dressed anywhere the entire week was in the dining room. A couple several tables over from us wore sweatsuits one formal night, and shorts for the second.
But they always seemed out of place, I don't think they got out much. He was always sending food back, I suspect he was a guy that normally ate meat (plain) and potato.........he seemed lost when served meat with gravy on it!!!
