Can you confirm that they will still allow you to remain in the premium seating area for the fireworks afterward?

The fireworks happen immediately after the first show of Fantasmic! and they tell everyone not to leave (although some do, but it is hard for them to do so).

So, if you want to be in the premium viewing area for the Fireworks, you would need seating for the first show, not the second.

Yup, the timing of fireworks and Fantasmic changes throughout the seasons, but fireworks is almost always right before or immediately after Fantasmic and you are encouraged to be in your seats for the Premium viewing area for the fireworks. The music is pumped through the Fantasmic sound system. For me, it is one of the added perks of getting the reserved seats for the first Fantasmic showing!

Last year we had snow in the ROA area. I generally get seats in the Tower B section of the Fantasmic! seating and there was snow there.

I would love to see a photo of what the view is (of fireworks) from Fantasmic Dessert seating.
When I look on a map, it seems like you would have to turn sideways to see the fireworks if they are centered over the castle. Are some fireworks right over ROA?

I looked at random dates and it all had it before the F!

So sometimes the fireworks are before F! & sometimes between F!

From the river you can see most of the fireworks but you miss a lot of the castle effects/projections.

Yeah. I remember summer usually having it between the shows, and then starting in fall it makes the shift to being before F! once it starts to get darker sooner. At least that's how it was the last two years if I recall correctly.

They are launched from behind Toontown. You will miss the effects right on either side of the castle along with the projections, but will still see the bulk of the show.

I haven't looked at a day-by-day list of the schedule, but I can tell you what the schedule was like for Thanksgiving week. Fireworks at 8:45, first Fantasmic at 9:00, and second Fantasmic at 10:15. It definitely snowed at ROA after the fireworks. We were off to the side where the snow did not reach, but it blanketed the seated groups who had the best view of the center water screen. After the snow finished, there were only a couple minutes of quiet and then Fantasmic began.

As PPs pointed out, the schedule for fireworks and Fantasmic does change sometimes. Perhaps it's seasonal; perhaps it has to do some with crowd management. I feel like things stayed the same for a long time, and then the schedules started getting tweaked more when DCA added the extra entertainment of World of Color and the dance parties.

So if we're doing the F! seating for the 9:00 show and the fireworks start at 8:45, you want to be sure to be in your seats by 8:45? Last time when we did the F! dessert seating I remember the fireworks being after F!, but that was in June.

Thanks for the heads up, folks! I went and checked the times and as it turns out, the fireworks are in fact before the first showing the night we want to go. Given the fireworks at 8:45 and F! at 9:00 I'm thinking we want to be seated at 8:30ish.

Are going to the first seating? Your title says second.

I did this about 2 weeks ago at the start of the holiday season and everyone is correct. We seated about 8:30, got our goodies and watched the fireworks from our seats at 8:45. We were seated in the middle section center stage below the light tower and it snowed a TON where we were sitting. We then watched Fantasmic. I actually really enjoyed watching the fireworks from there on top of Fantasmic! With the treats, it makes it extra holiday-ish :)

Have fun!!
